It was developed by the Bulgarian doctor and psychotherapist Georgi Lozanov. The human brains could process great quantities of material if given the right conditions for learning which are state of relaxation. SUGGESTOPEDIA PRINCIPLE

The goals are to learn at

accelerated pace.

Students learn in relaxing

environment.

Students focus on communicative use rather than form.

Teacher avoids negative feelings and limits to

learning (musics, colours, pictires, etc)

Errors are not immediately corrected.

SUGGESTOPEDIA TECHNIQUESPresentation

A preparatory stage in which students are helped to relax. Music is played.

First Concert -’Active Concert’Active presentation of the material to be learnt accompanied by

music.

Second Concert – ‘Passive Review’The student are listening to the music while the text being read

quietly in the background.

PracticeThe practice is used to review and consolidate the learning.
