Critical Home Sewage Treatment Area

Proposed Sanitary Sewer Project•Ordered by the Ohio EPA – 57 homes

•Approximately 2.1 miles of low pressure force main sanitary sewer

•Grinder pumps and easements at each home requiring service

•Wastewater treated at Bowling Green Wastewater Treatment Plant

Outside OEPA Ordered Area• Connections not available as part of current project.

• Sewer lines can be extended by petition from property owners

• Letters will be sent to area residents outlining the process.

• Requests will be reviewed and estimates prepared for all interested properties

• No obligation to proceed, but if enough interest in project, all homes adjacent to sewer may be required to connect.

•$750,000 potential grant for this project

Owner Responsibilities•Connect to the public sanitary sewer system within 120 days

•Use a District licensed contractor

•Abandon septic tank (In accordance with Health Dept.)

• Install lateral from your home to grinder pump

•Disconnect any stormwater, sump pumps, and down spouts from lateral
