Rice is a cereal grain, which is most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the world’s population. It is the most important grain with regard to human nutrition and caloric intake. A detailed analysis of nutrient contents of rice suggests that the nutrition value of rice varies based on a number of factors like the strain of rice, type of rice, type of soil it is grown in and how is it prepared before consumption.A comparative study made between rice of two brands i.e. Haldirams and Thai Jasmine showed that both the varieties had almost same content of carbohydrates. The Haldirams rice has dietary fibers in it which makes it comparatively better. The amount of fats is lesser in Haldirams as compared to the other brand whereas protein is almost the same in both brands.

Fruit juice is considered healthy and nutritive for all age groups and is loved by everyone.Pre-packed fruit juices are extremely tasty and convenient. The market is flooded with numerous fruit juices in delicious variants. A comparison of nutritional values between juices of two such brands Tropicana and Real showed that both the juices have almost 50% carbohydrates but the amount of natural fruit sugar is relatively higher in Tropicana than Real juice. Whereas Real juice has more of added sugar in it.The content of protein is higher in Tropicana, which in my opinion makes Tropicana better than Real juice.

Tea is an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the tea plant. After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. It has a cooling, slightly bitter, and astringent flavour that many people enjoy.Tea likely originated in China as a medicinal drink.I analysed two brands of tea that are “today premium” and “tata tea” and what I found is that the fat, protien and carbohydrate are almost the same..what makes the difference is the energy content which is more in today premium which thus makes it a better brand

Health drinks not only add flavour to the milk but also nutrition.Different types of health drinks are available for all the age groups. So I decided to compare the two most popular brand that are complan and bournvita and the analysis was not at all difficult because energy, protien and calcium content is much more in complan than in bournvita….so for me or in my opinion I think that complan serves the purpose better and hence it can be regrded as a better health drink.
