INTRODUCTION
Mobile Bidding is an integrated web application that handles the online bidding through your mobile. Now here days we can bid products through mobile so that it is easy for users. Admin will send the details of the products on user mobile. User can view the details and bid the product by sending message. Every user has to be registered on the site, after the registration they can bid the products. Bidding is an offer (often competitive) of setting a price one is willing to pay for something. A price offer is called a bid. The term may be used in context of auctions, stock exchange, card games, or real estate transactions.
INTRODUCTION
Existing System
The problem with public bidding is that the participation of the general public is very limited. The aim of the project is to socialize the bidding so that people from far & wide and even across the continent can participate in it.
Disadvantages faced by the existing system Existing system cannot be updated quickly. Errors and Omissions may happen while entering data.Sorting out information is difficult.Inefficient.Needs a lot of paper work and manual effort. The chance of getting errors is very large.Delay in preparing reportsNumber of staff’s will be more
The existing manual system is facing this much problems. While using the existing system we are losing our valuable time, effort, cost and human resources. Computerization of this system can eliminate the drawbacks of the existing manual system to a great extend.
The proposed computerized site has made bidding process simple. The only pre-condition is that the user must register and authenticate before he/she can take part in the bidding process. A bidding site needs to have products to bid, so in the proposed system this is done using product registration module (in company module). The module is open to user who is registered sellers and they need to authenticate before they register any product.
Proposed System
Features of Proposed SystemDid you ever ask yourself what's good about the business model of online bidding? Here are six good reasons to adapt yourself to this very successful model based on online bidding systemsFirst, time is irrelevant. Here, we're not talking about a shop with more or less fixed opening and closing times. Far from it! Online bids take place at any time, 24/7. In a word, a market that never sleeps. Moreover, items are listed for some days, allowing buyers to research and decide properly before bidding.Second, if time is irrelevant, so is space. There are literally no geographical boundaries with online auctions. Once provided an internet access, sellers and bidders can take part at the auction from everywhere. Costs of attending are dramatically reduced, whilst the number of bids goes up.
Third, as the number of bids increase, the intensity of their interactions becomes a fundamental aspect of the model. Through a system of feedback and social networks, the increasing intensity is proved to develop a high sense of loyalty to the business from customers.Fourth, prices of goods are potentially lower than normal retail shops. What is the result? Simply: This increases the number of participants and the benefits associated with that.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEMChances of errors are much low it is user FriendlierFaster retrieval of record is possibleReduces paper workDetails are stored indestructible mediaInstantaneous generation of reports is possibleTime taken for overall process is reduced
Thus there are some added advantages are there in this site like,•SMS based bidding•All the registration process can be done through SMS
•Pamyent can be done through MOBILE (restricted)•Confirmations can be done through SMS•New product details can be seen through SMS•Both GPRS and SMS based system•Online lottery is been introduced•Added searching facility
