Ref:- Approved minutes ofAWP & B 2015-16." &&& Children with Special Needs necessitate with minor corrective surgeries for getting ready to school and study without much difficulty. Mostly children with Cleft Lip and Palate need corrective surgeries for proper speech and perhaps for good looking. Eye surgeries are required to the children with squint eye and with vision problem who may not be able to study properly. Children with Cerebral Palsy need corrective surgeries to their limbs for proper functioning of the organ. A child with Club Foot also neeas corrective surgeries. The Project Officers, TSSA are aware that TSSA is identifying such children who need such kind of corrective surgeries and sending them to hospitals where surgeries are taken up at free of cost. TSSA is supporting such child and the attendant for their transport cost and expenses for their stay in the hospital @Rs. 3000/- per child / actuals whichever is less. In this regard, it is to inform that for the academic Year 2015-16, MHRD, New Delhi approved budget for Minor Corrective Surgeries. Hence, all the Project Officers are requested to follow the steps given below for the best output of this intervention. 1. Identification of needy children by conducting Camps or by giving wide publicity through Posters / ADs in local TVs. 2. Preparation of category wise list of children and writing letters to the concerned hospitals for taking appointments / surgery dates. 3. Communication of surgery dates to parents for their visit to hospitals and precautions to take during their visit. If parents are not in a position to take their ward, IERP of that mandaI may be given responsibility duly taking concern from the pare1,1t. 4. Payment may be made to parents for their travel and stay within a week from the date of discharge from the hospital on receipt of proper bills from them. -- 5. List of beneficiaries should be maintained both at mandaI and district office 6. Consolidated list of beneficiaries with full details of surgery undergone to be communicated to this office for every quarter. Hence, all the Project Officers are requested to take necessary action immediately in this regard. Encl:- (Statement showing Dist.
