Any creative sent without a Client Reference Code will be returned to the sender. The Client Reference Code will be issued to you by Fairfax Digital upon signing the I.O. (Insertion Order). The physical .swf and back-up creative must be sent with the Third Party Redirect Tag. HTML: • HTML including any inline JavaScript must not exceed 4KB in size. • External JavaScript files referenced from HTML creative must not exceed 6KB in size. Stuff.co.nz will need to be informed of any links to external servers. • Acceptance of HTML creative containing JavaScript is at the discretion of Fairfax Digital on a case by case basis. • The use of JavaScript is limited to interaction only with elements inside the advert HTML supplied. • If the HTML creative submits data using a form to a server side script then the form will need to use the GET method. Flash Creatives: • If supplying a Flash creative you must also supply a backup GIF or JPG. • Ads should be designed for Flash Player 8 or less. • Embedded URLS are to be avoided where possible as no click-through data will be recorded. Expandables: • Expandables must automatically close on roll off and include a close box. Expanding Top Banner 760x120 pixels can expand to 760x360 when expanded. Expanding Medium Rectangle 300x250 pixels, which must expand to the left and down to 600x350 when expanded. Expanding Half Page 300x600 pixels, which must expand to the left and be 600x600 when expanded. Floating Layers: • A 5 second, moving, floating layer DHTML creative can be automatically activated within the specified area of the Stuff homepage and index pages. • As a DHTML creative the floating layer can only be served via a third party e.g. Eyeblaster, Doubleclick etc… • The floating layer must not exceed 500x500 pixels. The size of DHTML objects should be such that it remains inside the 500x500 area. • The floating layer must be fully opaque and square in shape. • The 500x500 floating layer must close after the DHTML activity has stopped and return to its standard creative size e.g. 160x600, 300x250, or 300x600. • A prominent “close” button must also be included in the top right hand corner throughout so the user can cease the animation at will. • Floating layer placements cannot have multiple creative in rotation. General Guidelines: • All advertising must conform to Fairfax Digital’s Terms and Conditions . • Creatives must not be sent in two parts e.g. text for a textlink in one e-mail and the clickthrough URL in another. The creative must be received whole in one e-mail. • There is a limit of four rotating creatives per ad placement. • Any special flight instructions must be included with the creative. • All creatives must clickthrough to a new window. • Creatives must not contain strobing affects. • Ads should be designed with performance on older computers in mind. • Only static creatives (.jpg or .gif) are accepted for Newsletters. Rich Media is not compatible with all e-mail programs. • Any additional 3 rd party costs are to be absorbed by the advertiser. • Rich Media ads must not hide the mouse cursor. • Ads with audio properties must be user initiated and have an obvious play/stop and mute function. • Ads with video properties must have an obvious play/stop and mute function.
