SRISA Florence, Italy Fall, Spring, Summer RIT students have the opportunity to directly enroll at Santa Reparata Internaonal School of Art (SRISA), one of the top art and design schools in Italy. Located in Florence, the campus has extensive studio facilies for painng, drawing and printmaking; photography labs and darkroom; and large lecture rooms. All courses are taught in English and students take 14-16 credits. Internship opons are also available. Students studying at SRISA will also parcipate in extra-curricular acvies, art exhibits, field trips, cultural seminars, beyond-the-classroom learning, museum visits, and student art shows. Design in Dessau Dessau, Germany Spring Semester program The RIT School of Design has partnered with Fachhochschule Anhalt (FHA) in Dessau, Germany to offer junior design majors in Graphic Design, Industrial Design or New Media the opportunity to study in Germany. Students take four studio-based courses, earning between 12-16 credits and live in the charming town of Dessau, about 1 ½ hours from Berlin by train. Students do not need to be fluent in German to parcipate. Applicaons are accepted by the School of Design in the spring semester prior to the student's junior year, and acceptance into the program is made by an administrave commiee. I was able to have the unique opportunity to explore and play with unfamiliar materials, processes, and pracces and the ability to use these techniques to create and build in new ways upon my return. I was a lile skepcal of traveling to China because it was unlike anywhere else I had been, but it was the most unique and authenc cultural experience I've had to date.”
