In order to create a data diagram, we have to first establish one point and then by using the X,Y and Z command, we can then adjust according to the variation of the numbers. By lofting the various points together, we will be able to get a clearer 3D curve in showing the variations of the points.

Works the same as boonlean which is found in 3D studio max, in order to create the driftwood surface, we have to first create an existing by lofting curves on elevation. With the form created, we then can place another closed curve on plan, offset the curves and choose the number of layers we want to create. Extruding the various curve and by using surfacesplit, we are able to get this Driftwood form as shown on the top.

Merging the three curves created, and then using “divide curve” into the various points. By using the arc function, it will display a mesh on the three curves. Using the “shift list” and “Geodesic”, we are able to play with the mesh of the form.

Simple extrusion of a surface being created, we can then create a set of pattern by arraying the chosen form in the direction we want it to. With the slider command, it allows us to create multiple of similar forms.
