Forord.
MARTEC har udarbejdet denne studieordning for skibsassistentuddannelse for personer med svendebrev, i overensstemmelse med Ministeriet for Forskning, Innovation og Videregående Uddannelsers bekendtgørelse 1333 af 17/12/2012. Studieordningen er udarbejdet af uddannelseschefen i samarbejde med afdelingslederen og
lærerkollegiet. MARTEC ser skibsassistentuddannelsen som et uddannelsesforløb, hvor der hele
tiden arbejdes på, at de studerende skal opleve et studie med både praktisk og teoretisk indhold,
således at de ved endt uddannelse er klar til at udføre deres erhverv med god faglig ballast.
MARTEC er i løbende dialog med erhvervets parter, hvor der hentes inspiration til undervisningen,
samt normer for sikkerhedskultur studeres for at den studerende får et bredt kendskab til dette
element af uddannelsen.
MARTEC følger behovet for fornyelse af studieordningen. En revision af denne kan iværksættes af MARTEC i forbindelse med ændringer af love og/eller bekendtgørelser. Lærergruppens evaluering af afsluttede forløb kan også give forslag til ændringer. Studieordningen bliver revideret løbende min. 1 gang om året og godkendes af MARTEC’s ledelse. Denne studieordning er gældende for studerende der påbegynder skibsassistentkursus for personer med Svendebrev med studiestart marts 2014 eller senere og betegnes ”Studieordning for skibsassistentuddannelse for personer med svendebrev”. Studieordningen, der angiver de nærmere regler for uddannelsen til skibsassistent, er udfærdiget i henhold til følgende love og bekendtgørelser.

Uddannelsens mål.
Formål.
I henhold til Ministeriet for Forskning, Innovation og Videregående Uddannelsers bekendtgørelse
1333 af 17/12/2012 §1 er formålet med uddannelsen defineret som følger:
§ 1. Uddannelsens formål er at give personer med svendebrev, der ønsker beskæftigelse inden for søfartsområdet, en grundlæggende teoretisk og praktisk faglig uddannelse, der gør dem i stand til at udføre alt forekommende praktisk arbejde inden for dæks- og maskinområdet på en sikkerhedsmæssig forsvarlig måde.
Stk. 2. Uddannelsen til skibsassistent skal opfylde kravene i den internationale konvention om uddannelse af søfarende, om sønæring og om vagthold med senere ændringer (STCW-konventionen), reglement VI/1 om grundlæggende sikkerhedsmæssig oplæring (basic training) og de teoretiske elementer i reglement II/4 om vagthold.
Stk. 3. Uddannelsens formål er endvidere at give skibsassistenten uddannelse med henblik på opfyldelse af kravene i STCW-konventionens kapitel II/5 og III/5, begrænset til færdigheder baseret på normale driftstilstande og rutineopgaver i forbindelse med skibets drift.
MARTEC’s mål for skibsassistentuddannelsen.
Uddannelsen til skibsassistent på MARTEC støtter op om konceptet at de faglige kompetencer er i
højsædet. Både de faglige kompetencer samt de sikkerhedsmæssige aspekter skal være helt i top,
således en skibsassistent selvstændigt kan udføre sine pligter med høj standard.
Kvalitet
MARTEC arbejder ud fra et værdigrundlag, hvor kunden, herunder de studerende, er i centrum. Udmøntningen af værdigrundlaget sker på grundlag af de tre overordnede værdigrundlag jf. procedure i MARTECs Q-system: Engageret - Loyal – Fremadrettet. MARTEC er grundlæggende til for kundernes skyld og opfatter sig som et uddannelsescenter, der arbejder såvel lokalt, regionalt og landsdækkende som internationalt. MARTEC producerer uddannelser af høj kvalitet på et lønsomt grundlag og i et attraktivt og udviklende skolemiljø, hvor der tages individuelle hensyn til ansatte, kunder herunder studerende og aftagere. Studieordningen er skolens grundlag for undervisningens hensigter og niveau, herunder de pædagogiske principper skolen ønsker, skal ligge til grund for al undervisning og for skolens arbejde med og holdning til de studerendes medbestemmelse, demokratiske rettigheder og arbejde i demokratiske organer f.eks. studieråd.

Der arbejdes løbende med at udvikle kvaliteten af undervisningen - gennem evaluering i lærerteams, justering og udvikling af undervisningen, handlingsplaner, iværksættelse af medarbejderuddannelse, initiativer til forbedring af skolemiljøet samt inspiration fra erhvervets parter.
På skoleplan danner tilfredshedsundersøgelser blandt studerende og aftagere baggrund for
overordnede initiativer til forbedring af kvaliteten i uddannelserne.
Kvalifikationsramme
Den danske kvalifikationsramme for livslang læring er en samlet, systematisk og niveaudelt oversigt over offentligt godkendte grader og uddannelsesbeviser, der kan erhverves inden for det danske uddannelsessystem – fra folkeskoleniveau til universitetsniveau samt inden for voksen- og efteruddannelsesområdet.
Kvalifikationsrammen indeholder otte niveauer. Graderne og uddannelsesbeviserne er indplaceret på et af disse otte niveauer ud fra det læringsudbytte, som uddannelserne giver i form af viden, færdigheder og kompetencer.
Uddannelsen til skibsassistent er indplaceret på niveau 3 i den danske kvalifikationsramme for livslang læring

Viden
Denne kategori dækker over den studerendes forståelse af og viden om teorier, empiriske undersøgelser, metoder, centrale begreber og praktikker inden for det professionsfaglige område.
Læringsudbyttet er, at den studerende skal kunne angive, definere, gengive, genkende, navngive, omformulere, oversætte, referere, skitsere eller på anden måde reproducere sin tilegnede viden og forståelse.
Færdigheder
Kategorien er et udtryk for den studerendes brug af sin viden til at løse problemstillinger, besvare opgaver og i det hele taget kunne forholde sig til virkelighedens fænomener inden for maskinmesterprofessionens område.
Læringsudbyttet er, at den studerende skal kunne producere viden samt beregne, danne, opstille og reflektere over professionsfaglige problematikker.
Kompetencer
Denne kategori omfatter den studerendes formgivning, udførelse og formidling af sit arbejde på en klar og tilgængelig måde. Læringsudbyttet er, at der fra den studerendes side skal være et element af godt professionsfagligt arbejde i præstationen. Den studerende skal kunne kombinere viden og færdigheder til praktisk og teoretisk arbejde ved at bestemme, finde, håndtere, identificere, søge og udvælge arbejde inden for faget.
Mål for læringsudbyttet på Skibsassistentuddannelsen
Læringsmål for viden er, at skibsassistenten har:
1) viden om almindeligt forekommende arbejde om bord i et skib
2) viden om brovagt samt dæks- og maskinarbejde med normalt forekommende håndværktøj og maskiner
3) alment kendskab til skibes opbygning, indretning, maskineri og andet udstyr
4) alment kendskab til skibets navigatoriske og maskintekniske arbejdsområder
5) viden om sundhedsmæssige og sikkerhedsmæssige risici ved arbejdets udførelse, således at ulykker og arbejdsskader kan undgås
Læringsmål for færdigheder er, at skibsassistenten kan:
1) deltage aktivt i udvikling og bevarelse af et sikkert og sundt arbejdsmiljø
2) selvstændigt udføre konkrete vedligeholdelses- og reparationsopgaver om bord i et skib

3) anvende og vedligeholde redningsmidler
4) udføre praktisk arbejde om bord med tovværk, wire og surringsgrej
5) udføre arbejdet i overensstemmelse med fastsatte normer for kvalitet
6) udføre praktisk brandbekæmpelse
7) bidrage til forbedring af arbejdets udførelse og kvalitet
8) anvende og kommunikere på et aktivt engelsk inden for de for professionen relevante områder
Læringsmål for kompetencer er, at skibsassistenten kan:
1) indgå aktivt i samarbejdet omkring planlægning af arbejdsopgaverne
2) selvstændigt udføre praktiske opgaver i forbindelse med almindeligt skibsarbejde
3) lede og udføre mindre transportprocesser ved håndtering af kraner mv.
Skibsassistenten skal efter endt uddannelse opfylde kravene i STCW-konventionen i overensstemmelse med Søfartsstyrelsens kvalifikationskrav herom, vedrørende:
1) teoretisk uddannelse til vagtholdsbevis, jf. STCW-konventionens reglement II/4 med undtagelse af den praktiske fartstid
2) grundlæggende søsikkerhed, jf. STCW-kodens sektion A-VI/1, paragraf 2.1.1.1
3) brandbekæmpelse i skibe, jf. STCW-kodens sektion A-VI/1, paragraf 2.1.1.2
4) arbejdssikkerhed/arbejdsmiljø til søs, jf. STCW-kodens sektion A-VI/1, paragraf 2.1.1.4
5) førstehjælp, jf. STCW-kodens A-VI/4, paragraf 1-3
6) grundlæggende tankskibsoperationer for olie-, kemikalie- og gastankskibe, jf. STCW-konventionens reglement V/1-1, paragraf 2.2, og reglement V/1-2, paragraf 2.2
7) duelighedsbevis i motorpasning
8) sikringsberedskab og særlige sikringsopgaver i skibe, jf. STCW-konventionens reglement VI/6, paragraf 4
Uddannelsens struktur og opbygning, herunder moduler og ECTS-point.
Jf. Ministeriet for Forskning, Innovation og Videregående Uddannelsers Bekendtgørelse 1333 af
17/12/2012 §6 er uddannelsen normeret til 15 ECTS point, svarende til 0,25 årsværk.

MARTEC har valgt, at uddannelsen er en 10 ugers uddannelse med maksimum 10 moduler á 4
lektioner pr. uge.

SIKKERHED, SUNDHED OG ARBEJDSMILJØ (6 ECTS-point = 37 moduler)
- Fagemne: Søsikkerhed og kendskab til maritim sikring (21 moduler) - Fagemne: Sundhedslære (4 moduler) - Fagemne: Brandbekæmpelse (6 moduler) - Fagemne: Arbejdssikkerhed/arbejdsmiljø (2 moduler) - Fagemne: Grundlæggende tankskibskursus (4 moduler)
Yderligere anvendes 3 moduler til:

Undervisnings- og samarbejdsformer.
Undervisningen bør tilrettelægges sådan, at der er en veksling mellem den teoretiske viden og den praktiske anvendelse heraf. Der vil til undervisningen anvendes flere forskellige undervisningsmetoder, såsom:
- Klasseundervisning, defineres som holdundervisning med maksimal holdstørrelse på ca. 16. - Forelæsninger, defineres som holdundervisning, hvor holdstørrelsen væsentlig overstiger
16. - Gruppearbejde, hvor en gruppe af studerende i samarbejde arbejder på løsning af en
problemstilling. - Værkstedsundervisning, defineres som undervisning under produktionslignende forhold,
hvor der stilles særlige krav til lokaler og holdstørrelse. - Emneopgave, som er et sammenhængende undervisningsforløb, hvor et mål eller delmål
nås. - Computer Based Training, undervisning der stiller særlige krav til software. - Cases, undervisning hvor sædvanligvis grupper, behandler en konkret situation fra
”virkeligheden” og prøver at løse problemer og opstille begreber og principper.

Samarbejde med erhverv og andre uddannelsesinstitutioner.
I den udstrækning det er muligt, vil MARTEC i samarbejde med det omkringliggende erhverv planlægge undervisningen i et omfang, således at der kan dannes praktiske paralleller til den teoretiske undervisning. Vi har et tæt samarbejde med Skagen Skipperskole og Nordjysk Brand og Redningsskole omkring indholdet og opfyldelsen af kravene stillet i bekendtgørelsen, vi bruger dette samarbejde til at videreudvikle og benytte de spidskompetencer de pågældende uddannelsesinstitutioner har i forhold til brovagt, brandbekæmpelse samt førstehjælp.

Studieordning:
Studieordningen udarbejdes af MARTEC, og er det grundlæggende dokument for beskrivelse af
MARTEC’s måde at gennemføre uddannelsen. Den fungerer som skolens grundlag for
undervisningens hensigter og niveau, herunder de pædagogiske principper skolen ønsker, skal ligge til
grund for al undervisning.
Modulbeskrivelse: Modulbeskrivelsen beskriver overordnet det enkelte moduls indhold, der findes nødvendigt for at nå de af Ministeriet for Forskning, Innovation og Videregående Uddannelsers målsætninger samt andre krav. Disse udarbejdes af de respektive faggrupper der er dannet på MARTEC. Forløbsplan:
En forløbsplanen beskriver det detaljerede forløb for et undervisningsmodul. Denne udarbejdes af
underviseren efter gældende skabelon. Denne plan registreres og opbevares af afdelingslederen,
og føres løbende af underviseren. Efter endt undervisningsforløb danner den inspiration til
korrektioner til fremtidigt undervisningsforløb.
Beskrivelse af fagemner:
Herunder beskrives det overordnede indhold af de specifikke fagemner. For yderligere detaljeret
gennemgang af indholdet i emnerne henvises til de enkelte modulbeskrivelser.

MASKIN- OG EL-LÆRE SAMT VEDLIGEHOLD
Vedligehold Den studerende skal gennem undervisningen
opnå forståelse for de sikkerhedsmæssige
regler, der er gældende for almindeligt
forekommende vedligeholdelsesarbejder, samt
oparbejde gode sikkerhedsmæssige holdninger
omkring tilgangen til arbejdsopgaverne.
Maskin- og el lære, DUMO Den studerende skal gennem undervisningen
opnå et kendskab til hoved- og hjælpemaskineri
for sikkert at kunne assistere i almindelige
arbejdsrutiner og vedligeholdelses arbejder i
maskinrummet.
Det er også målet med faget, at den
studerende opnår et kendskab til de elektriske
systemer om bord på et skib, så denne sikkert
kan assistere i almindelige arbejdsrutiner og
vedligeholdelses arbejder på skibets elektriske
system.
VAGTTJENESTE, SØMANDSKAB SAMT LOVGIVNING
Kran / surring Den studerende skal igennem dette fagemne
opnå kvalifikationer til at kunne udføre
kranoperationer med skibsinstallerede kraner,
derudover skal den studerende forsvarligt
kunne surre gods, der kan forventes, at
forefindes på et skib.
Riggerloft Den studerende skal opnå kvalifikationer
således, at denne sikkert kan udføre praktisk

arbejde om bord med tovværk, herunder knob,
stik og splejsninger.
Herudover skal den studerende opnå
kvalifikationer, der gøre denne i stand til at
tilrigge, anvende og afrigge gangvej, lodslejder,
taljer og bådsmandsstol.
Brovagt Den studerende skal opnå kvalifikationer,
således at denne kan indgå i brovagten og
optjene sin fartstid for at erhverve sig
fuldgyldigt vagtholdsbevis.
Ydermere skal den studerende have kendskab
til de internationale søvejsregler, søkortets
opbygning samt kendskab til internationale
farvandsafmærkninger, således at denne kan
assistere i afholdelsen af en sikker brovagt i
relation til både navigation og antikollision.
Efter endt uddannelse udstedes
STCW A-II/4; theoretical navigational
watchkeeping
Skibsteknik Den studerende skal gennem dette fagemne
opnå viden omkring skibes generelle
opbygning, samt udstyr og installationer der
forefindes om bord på et skib.
Herudover skal der foregå en orientering
omkring skibets tyngdepunkt, opdrift, dybgang,
stabilitet og faktorer, der påvirker skibets
stabilitet.

Social og arbejdsretslig lovgivning Den studerene skal kende til den søfarendes
rettigheder og pligter, således at den
studerende opnår forståelse for de særlige
vilkår, der gælder på et skib
SIKKERHED, SUNDHED OG ARBEJDSMILJØ
Søsikkerhed / Maritim sikring Den studerende skal opnå kvalifikationer til at
kunne assistere i alle henseender i forbindelse
med et skibsforlis. Dette værende både i
relation til at hjælpe sig selv, og de øvrige
besætningsmedlemmer eller passagerer.
Ydermere skal denne kunne anvende
signalerings- og kommunikationsudstyr i
henhold til nødkommunikation med
involverede parter i en redningsaktion.
Derudover skal denne også kunne deltage
aktivt i skibet sikringsberedskab mod pirateri.
Efter endt uddannelse udstedes:
STCW A-VI/2; Proficiency in survival craft and
rescue boats other than fast rescue boats.
STCW A-VI/6; Competence for seafarers with
designated security duties.
Sundhedslære Den studerende opnår under dette fagemne de
kvalifikationer der gør denne i stand til at
reagere korrekt på ulykker og pludselig
opståede sygdomme.
Kurset er tilpasset den maritime verden og
dækker sejlads i kulde, brug af rusmidler,
seksuelt overførte sygdomme, personlig- og
skibshygiejne.

Brandbekæmpelse Den studerende skal tilegne sig kvalifikationer
der gør denne i stand til at indgå i skibets
brandberedskab.
Ligeledes skal den studerende tilegne sig viden
om brandsikring, ansvarlig adfærd med
brandfarlige stoffer samt kunne anvende
skibets brandslukningsudstyr.
Efter endt uddannelse udstedes:
STCW A-VI/1; Competence in fire prevention
and firefighting.
Arbejdsmiljø Den studerende skal gennem undervisningen
opnå forståelse for de gældende
arbejdsmiljøregler til søs, samt regler for farligt
gods, og kunne udvælge korrekte værnemidler
til en given opgave.
Grundlæggende Tankskibskursus Den studerende skal gennem undervisningen i
dette fagemne tilegne sig grundlæggende
sikkerhedsmæssigt kendskab, der kvalificerer
denne til at påmønstre et tankskib.
Efter endt uddannelse udstedes:
STCW A-V/1; Basic training for oil and chemical
tanker cargo operations.
Eksaminer, prøver og anvendte bedømmelsesformer.

Studieaktivitet.
Det forventes at kursisten er studieaktiv, ved såvel fremmøde som ved forberedelse til
undervisningen. Der føres løbende protokol over elevens fremmøde.
Ved mere end 10% fravær i enkeltfag vil den studerende blive nægtet adgang til eksamen i det
pågældende fag.
Gældende regler er nærmere beskrevet i skolens Q-system.

Meritvurdering foretages inden uddannelses opstart ved tilmelding til kursus.
Der kan søges merit i følgende fag:
