DISCIPLINES &MAJORS
Disciplines are applicable in all of AFDA’s Degrees in Motion Picture Medium or Live Performance, and are essentially the focus areas that you can major in when it comes to your assignments, projects and narrative outcomes. In the first half of the 3-year Undergraduate BA degree, students will explore up to twelve different disciplines. Then mid-way through 2nd year, they will select their disciplines to major in until they graduate at the end of 3rd year. Certain disciplines may only be available at selected campuses - please enquire at your preferred campus for more information.
In addition to Discipline Studies in the BA degrees, students will also engage in Conceptual, Contextual, Reflection and Project Studies, as well as tutorials.
Only if you are applying to bridge into the 2nd year of a degree (RPL), or enter one of the Postgraduate courses, discipline eligibility and availability will be discussed and clarified in the admission process and relevant to the campus you have applied to.
