The cerficate consists of one course that prepares students for the CompTIA A+ cerficaon exams which are recognized by the computer industry around the world. It gives those who are unable, or do not need, to complete a degree a way of demonstrang their level of proficiency. Upon compleon of this Cerficate program, the graduate can: 1. Idenfy and explain motherboard components. 2. Idenfy, install, configure, and upgrade personal computer components. 3. Perform device driver installaon, scheduled maintenance, and memory and firmware updates. 4. Idenfy common tools, basic diagnosc procedures, troubleshoong techniques, and prevenve maintenance methods. 5. Explain and apply the troubleshoong process to diagnose and repair common hardware and soſtware problems. 6. Demonstrate an understanding of conversion between binary, decimal, hexadecimal number systems. 7. Compare and contrast client operang systems and their features. 8. Use mulple user interfaces, including command-line, to perform operang system management tasks; to configure, opmize, and upgrade the current client operang systems; and to diagnose network connecon issues. 9. Use and manage file systems, operang system ulies, backup programs, and opmizaon tools. 10.
