PART A BEFORE LEAVE FOR TAIWAN

    Introduction of NCU

In 1962, NCU war reinstated in Miao-Li, Taiwan as the National Central University Graduate Institute of Geophysics. Six years later, NCU was relocated to Jhongli. After more than forty years of vigorous and diligent development, there are now 7 colleges, 11 research centers, and additional teaching centers.

    Quick Facts

The symbol was designed by Professor Chen Tze-Fu in 1930showing the majestic main gate and auditorium of the Nanjing campus in the Stone Fortress of the ancient city. The wavy lines symbolize water and remind us of the schools previous close proximity to the Yangtze River.

    NCU Motto: Sincerity and Simplicity

NCUs attitude towards higher education is best summarized by its school motto-sincerity and simplicity. Priority is always given to fundamental principles and responsibilities. For many of our faculty and students, this motto is also their philosophy of life.
