REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

1. INTRODUCTION

Congratulations to all for being selected to join the Centre for

Foundation Studies of the International Islamic University

Malaysia.

1.1 All the information provided is to prepare you for

registration day.

1.2 Please read carefully and follow the instructions given.

2. CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE / REJECTION

You are required to fill the ONLINE acceptance form and

submit within the stipulated date as stated in the ONLINE

BIODATA SYSTEM. Otherwise this offer of admission will be

automatically revoked. The related website for online reply is as

follows:

If you decide to decline our offer, you may not be considered for admission into the

Foundation programme in the future and no further appeal for admission will be

entertained.

Payment can be made by means of bank-in directly into the

University’s account at any Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad

(BMMB) branch at the following account number:

0601 0004 1527 11 You are required to bring along related receipts / documents / copy of bank-in slip as proof of

your payment for future reference. If there is no submission, it is assumed that no payment

has been made.

ENTRANCE FEES

The ENTRANCE FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE the registration day.

RECURRENT FEES

i) Students who are entitled for KPT Bantuan Asasi (household income below

RM10,000/month), the recurrent fees will be deducted from the scholarship each

semester.

ii) Self-sponsored students are required to settle amounts due latest by 2 weeks

before each final semester examination.

Students are required to open Saving Account at any branch of

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) BEFORE registration day.

4. MEDICAL CHECKUP

All students are required to undergo medical check-up at the IIUM Health and Wellness

Centre as scheduled by the Centre for Foundation Studies. You are required to complete your

X-Ray report at any Government Hospitals or Private Clinics / Hospitals before registration

day. Please bring your X-ray film for submission during the medical check-up.

Kindly read and print the Health Examination Guidelines and form (*) of IIUM Health

Centre which is also made available in the Online Offer Letter website:

http://www.iium.edu.my/tawaran/

* Note: you are required to bring duly complete Medical Check-up form as per scheduled in

Ta’aruf Week.

5. DISABILITY SERVICES UNIT (DSU)

The University believes in creating an enabling and inclusive

environment to allow all students to perform to their maximum

potentials regardless of their disabilities. As such, if you have any

kind of disability(physical, sensory, speech, intellectual or

mental), please contact the Disability Services Unit (DSU) at

[email protected] as soon as possible, preferably at least 1

month before registration day, to allow sufficient time for early

preparations to accommodate your special needs (if any).

6. MAHALLAH (RESIDENTIAL)

Students reside in rooms or dormitories. Each room or dorm can accommodate 4 to 8 students.

Each student is provided with basic facilities in his/her room. Meanwhile, common facilities are

also allocated at each Mahallah.

8. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TEST (EPT), ARABIC PLACEMENT TEST (APT),

TILAWAH ENTRANCE TEST (TEnT) AND FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE

TEST (FKT)

8.1 All new students are required to sit for English

Proficiency Test (EPT) and Arabic Placement

Test (APT) during the Ta’aruf Week, in order to

determine the level of English and Arabic

proficiency. The results of the tests will be used

to place students according to their level of

proficiency. It is advised that students prepare

well for the tests as the results will determine the

length of studies in CFS.

8.2 All new students are required to sit for Tilawah Entrance Test (TEnT) and Fundamental

Knowledge Test (FKT) during the Ta’aruf Week, to determine the level of proficiency

of students in Quranic Recitation and

their Fardhu ‘Ayn Fundamental

Knowledge. The results of the tests will

be used to determine their credited co-

curricular subject.

8.3 Exemption from EPT

Students, who have sat for IELTS * or TOEFL before registering, must produce

evidence of IELTS* or TOEFL qualifications during registration. The following

minimum requirements must be met in order to be exempted from EPT:
