Thiagu Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department SRM University, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India ABSTRACT In the present scenario, many of the construction companies are constructing typical buildings for commercial as well as industrial use by replacing the building methodology with various construction types among this types the upcoming construction method is precast, which is produced or manufactured in the factories by using machine and men's power, which is said to be industrialized building system (IBS).The Precast slogan is named by its working process producing the element in factories or in temporary plants established at the site, and then they erected with the elements. This study is essential since there is no proper comparison has been mentioned between the convention and precast panel joints in construction. This paper describes the study between the structural behavior of conventional panel and precast panel joints with different loading tests. Key words: IBS, precast, economical, panel joints, structural behavior. Cite this Article: L. Raghavan and H. Thiagu, Structural Behaviour of Conventional and Precast Panel Joints. INTRODUCTION A concrete slab is common structural element used in the construction to provide thermal effort to the building with the varying thickness typically between 4 to 20 inches are most commonly used to construct floor or ceiling the slab had been laid in different places, which can be on ground, suspended or mixed of both. However, conventional concrete is most commonly used in the construction for long years generally slabs can be classified into two types, there are said to be slabs on ground and precast slab, Slabs on ground is said to be normal conventional concrete slabs with which it is attached with beams and columns laid directly in site, Precast concrete slabs are produced by casting the slab by using the reusable mould cured either by days 28 curing or by 24hrs steam curing and then transported to the
