Representing China, I am standing here before you and asking you for support for my bid to become the next UAM President.

I am doing so out of my aspiration to contribute to the development of motorcycle sports in Asia.

Asia boasts the largest population in the world

Asia’s economy is developing very fast

There is a bright future for the development of motorcycle sports in Asia

China, Potential Market for Motorcycle Sports

China boasts not only a population of more than 1.3 billion, the largest in the world, but is also a huge market for motor sports and motorbikes.

The Chinese Motor Sports Association is a national sporting authority governing all kinds of motorcycle sports in China.

CMSA enjoys rich experience in administration and strong support from the government.

Dynamic Economy and Thriving Motorcycle Industry

Since the early 1980s, China has witnessed sustained and rapid economic development.

China's gross domestic product ( GDP) grew by more than 9.4 percent in 2005.

The country produced more than 15 million motorcycles in 2005 and exported 3.87 million of them.

Sports Industry Booms in China Thanks to 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

China, particularly its capital Beijing,  will be the focus of world attention in the coming years as the 2008 Olympic Games will be staged in the capital city.

As China is to host the Olympic Games in 2008, many international sports organizations have set up offices in the country.

The 2008 Olympic Games has given a new impetus to the development of the sports industry and the economy as a whole in China. This will be beneficial to Asia and the world in general.

Highly Efficient Secretariat will be set up

A highly efficient Secretariat will be set up and headed by an English-speaking Secretary General, with an English-speaking staff.

The Secretariat will ensure smooth and timely communication with UAM members, and rapid response to queries made by FIM and UAM Members.

It will organize the annual session of the UAM Congress, meetings of the Management Council and other meetings called for by the General Assembly.

It will maintain close ties and coordination with FIM and carry out work under FIM guidance.

Smooth Communication Between Secretariat and Member Associations

A full-time English-speaking Secretariat Smooth communication between the Secretariat and

Member Associations through modern communications such as publications, letters, fax, telephone and the Internet.

Easy access to the UAM Secretariat by Member Associations through the UAM website

Timely response to any request or query made by UAM Member Associations

• Use an independent foreign currency account for all UAM cash transfers

• Provide a detailed final account each fiscal year• Commission an international accounting firm to

serve as the UAM accountant• The UAM accounts will be available at any time

to UAM and FIM auditors for checkups

I also promise here that I will…

Serve just one term in the office of UAM president Stand for the rotation of the UAM presidency

among Member Associations Further develop and promote all forms of

motorcycling in Asia as well as cooperation and friendship among Member Associations

Carry on UAM tradition and make more contributions to the development of motorcycle sports in Asia

Should you entrust me with the Presidency, I also promise that

I will wholeheartedly work for the further development of motorcycle sports in Asia

Organize more motorcycle events and exchanges between Member Associations

Bring more members to the UAM Get more manufactures and enterprises to support and

sponsor UAM events. Set up a forum to bring together motorcycle manufacturers

and motorcycle sports circles

I sincerely hope that you will give me the opportunity to serve the UAM and its Member Associations.
