IoTx : How It Works

Networks with a provisioning platform: Receive the full benefit of the APN for transiting data. Provision and manage SIMs through an existing management platform or OaSys (‘light’).

Networks without a provisioning platform: Use OaSys to manage SIM cards online via APIs - HLR Benefit from the APN infrastructure for transiting data from customer devices.

APN Traffic Flow for Data through Stream’s Network

Stream’s data infrastructure makes use of the MNO Radio Area Network (RAN) and existing data infrastructure to provide services to subscribers in their region. The data passes in to the Stream APN and out to the customers. This is replicated for each operator so that a seamless data network can be created.

Advantages to using Streams Data Network

By using Stream’s data network, MNOs are able to offer out a custom APN built for M2M and IoT from the beginning, with capabilities such as: • Fixed Private IP Addressing with VPN Access • Dynamic IP Addressing, both private pooled and un-pooled Stream’s Network provides a high level of resilience due to a multi-site infrastructure built on an N+1 box redundancy scheme. In the last year the APN achieved 99.999% APN uptime. MNOs who may choose to use the Stream Network will benefit from the following: • Two way IP traffic to devices. • A fault tolerant self-healing network • A higher level of data statistics available in OaSys
