The 26th Annual Strawberry Festival hosted by the White River
Township Fire Department is just around the corner.
Our club’s participation will be on Saturday June 9th from
around 10 a.m. to roughly 3 p.m. This has been one of our club’s
main events for many years now. We try to combine three activities
that day: First- It will be the location for the June monthly
meeting. Second- We will display our apparatus and promote our
club’s activities (will have a hydrant available for
demonstrations). Third
With us hosting the National Event next year, we should start
this year getting our engines cleaned up and on the road.
Also, we should start a communication team who will represent
our club to people at our events by sharing information about our
engines and our club activities (in-cluding membership information
and upcoming events. This is an opportunity to grow the club before
next year). It would be nice if we could see 10 to 15 engines
there.
This is a community event with food and a lot of activi-ties for
the kids both Friday night and all day Saturday
as the last few years: Sugar Grove Elementary School, 4135 West
Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, 46142.
Please plan to attend this year with one or more vehicles! Just
let me know how many vehicles you are bringing so we can plan our
parking layout.
Thanks in advance for your positive response, Rick Ordo cell:
