The left side of your brain is crucial to rationally define your strategy. You typically use this side during the strategy definition process.

At the end of the day, if you excel in this exercise, you will have a great document, with an exhaustive analysis and a powerful vision, mission and strategic objectives. But it will be a useless piece of paper if you are not able to convert it into reality!

You define the right strategy but don’t execute it properly.

Strat.exe modelAt Strat.exe we are convinced that the true challenge of today’s organisations lies more in the Execution than in the Definition of their strategies. Organisations usually struggle more when it comes to executing their plans, than when it comes to developing their strategy. A lack of internal discipline, capabilities, skills and processes for execution often explains this difficulty.

We have developed the Strat.exe model based on the Strategy Execution model of Drs. Norton and Kaplan and our own specific experience in the Strategy Execution field. This model covers from the definition of the strategy to its transformation into results.

The Strat.exe model is the reference in which we base our offering to help our clients.

We do not only help them to define their strategy (Step 1 Strategy Definition), but we translate that strategy into specific, clear and measurable strategic objectives. We also help them to measure the degree of achievement of their Strategy by setting measures and targets. Furthermore we support them in defining and prioritising a portfolio of strategic initiatives that will close the gap (Step 2 Strategy Translation).

Cascading the Strategy within the organisation, to ensure that the different Units are contributing to the overall Strategy, is another key way in which we assist our clients. This alignment filters down to individual level through the use of Personal Scorecards and Strategy Communication Plans to better understand what the individual’s contribution to the Strategy is (Step 3 Strategy Cascading & Alignment).

Finally we create a Strategy Management Process for our clients that will facilitate the internal discipline for the execution of their strategic initiatives and achievement of their strategic objectives, by continuous monitoring in Strategy Review Meetings (Step 4 Strategy Management).
