• Qualcomm’s competitors making progress and will challenge its dominance in LTE basebands and apps processors.

• Snapdragon apps processor absence in Samsung Galaxy S6 was one of the talking points of the show.

• MediaTek and Intel are poised for share gains in 2015 / Intel could break into top-5 smartphone & tablet AP rankings in 2015, thanks to Atom X3 (previously SoFIA).

• MediaTek’s Helio-branded X10 (2.2GHz Octa-core Cortex-A53 with LTE Category 4) caught attention.

• No 4K display tablets announced. Two prototypes seen.

• 5MP and 8MP front-facing cameras in 58% of announced SPs.
