‘Twas the Night Before Testing

• Go to bed on time (or earlier than normal)!• Try to get 8 hours of sleep the night before the test• Put a few number 2 pencils with erasers in your backpack.

The Morning of Testing

• Eat a good breakfast.

• Be on time!

• Do not bring cell phones or IPOD’s into the testing rooms.

• Think of what you will do to relax after you get home from school.

• Multiple choice items (worth one point each).

• Short Construct-Response (a few sentences to a paragraph; worth 2, 3 or 4 points).

• Extended Construct-Response (a longer, more detailed answer that gives examples from the passage or involves draft, revision and final drafts).

scratch paper (thousands, hundreds, tens, ones) or the answer will be incorrect.
