Information TechnologyUTSA Overview

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is an emerging Tier One research institution.

Approximately: 29,000 students

5,000 faculty and staff

150 full-time IT staff

75 part-time IT staff, mostly students

CIO Initiative with Management Support Acknowledgment of opportunity to increase department’s

recognition for innovation

All managers mandated a minimum of three presentations or

publications per Academic Year outside of normal department

operations

from those not comfortable with public speaking (Best Stars).

We found the right platform for each staff member where their skills were best suited.

Many found themselves to be better communicators than they originally thought.
