The site location is located at
the Pudu, nearby the historical
prison in Kuala Lumpur. Front
of the site also was the existing
monorail terminal.
This site also located at the
Golden Triangle of KualaLumpur where the place for
people to shopping and
entertain themselves.

The area also known as the
last check point before arrivingto the Golden Triangle.
In the future development, the
prison will be used as the
museum for the public. So this
site is very valuable for the
development as the
entertainment or as the hotel
to attract more people and
tourist coming to Kuala
Lumpur especially to this area.

During the design development process, the
construction method and structure also was considered
parallel through the design process was to support the
tower especially at the cantilever and expended floor.

Core as the main big column to
support the load of the tower
building. The load majority will
transfer to the core in horizontal
direction and continue vertically to
the soil through the column and
foundation at the bottom of building

Knee bracing is most suitable to thistower for supporting the load
regarding to the design idea and the
concept of this hotel.
Knee bracing is the form in
rectangular and square, so this
structure will not to disturbing the
view from the people inside the
tower.

The load transfer in vertical direction are in
two method, first is transferring to the
bracing system where at the faade of the
tower and another one is transferring to
the core.
The core located the middle of tower as the
big column to support the load and floor at
each level.

The load transfer in vertical direction are in
two method, first is transferring to the
bracing system where at the faade of the
tower and another one is transferring to
the core.
The knee bracing structure was rigid form
so easily for construction and jointing.

Advantages of knee bracing system for this project
Basically the form of structure is triangulated trusses so
easily to construct and calculation to be considered.
Besides that this structure also giving the space to be used
at the middle of the frame structure.
The structure also is simple, meaning that not use too
much capacity of material. So the building weight can beminimize.
This bracing located at the faade of the building, so in the
architecture sense we can use it to expose the structural
system of building to create the image.

Advantages of composite floor system for this project
Speed and simplicity of construction metal decking, simple
steel connections.
Light construction than a traditional concrete building
(structural steel and lightweight concrete, slender structural
elements of small dimensions).
Less on site construction (steelwork, prefabricated
structural elements).
Small (strict) tolerances achieved by using steel members
manufactured under controlled factory conditions toestablished quality procedures.
