Forewords

STR-3000 is a newly released most advanced hardware-software combined solution for data recovery needs towards Seagate HDD, with

dozens of powerful functions of practicability added specially for data recovery. It is also the updated version of HDD Repairer (Seagate)

PRO. The most breakthroughs are, unlike the original Seagate program runs on DOS, with the STR console, this new Seagate solution

can be easily installed on any desktop/laptop/server computer via USB (USB protocol 1.1 or above) socket and runs on Microsoft

Windows98/2000/XP. With full English program interface and supports, this program is easy to use although there are many powerful

functions, and ought to be a tool must-have for data recovery and HDD refurbishing companies. Such as: fast and easy online software

update, F> Repair, read/write firmware, save your time and easy to operate with high success rate.

About Seagate

As the biggest hard drive manufacturer, Seagate is taking up more and more market share. Since Seagate had taken over Maxtor in

2006, it has enjoyed a larger amount of users.

Seagate is the world leading manufactory in this industry, their HDD are mainly divided into three series: U series, Barracuda series and

Brief Introduction on Key Functions

1. Backup modules and tracks: necessary functions for data recovery and drive repair;

2. Firmware check, FW Repair, Read Only Repair: main functions for data recovery of Seagate HDDs;

3. Clear G/P/T List, High speed Scan and Sector Repair by adding bad sectors to P list, Full Drive Zerofill: works well for full drive bad

sectors caused by firmware problems and also for logical bad sectors;

4. SELFSCAN: factory level sector repair for mass defects, HDD unidentifiable, firmware error, drive slow to be identified;

ROM on the hard drive operations, read ROM, write ROM.

Write ROM to buffer, then writes to the hard disk command. When the hard drive of the main head or a head

problem, we need to redefine the primary hard drive first. To do is to write your definition of the main head of

the ROM.
