Technical characteristics:

General presentationThe PRX * is a motorized and digital device for plane sensors allowing stitching, major axes, spine, goniometry. It is also equip-ped with a Patient Radiation Protection Synchronized RPS with the sequence of images of the DR sensor.

It also allows all sitting and standing exams in conventional radiology.

The Potter breaks down into three main elements:

1) The PRX, Vertical Potter including the motorized stitching device.2) The RPS box (Patient Synchronized Radiation Protection), which controls the radiation, is located at the front of the collimator (tube outlet).3) The control panel, determines the starting position and the management of the assembly.

The operator adjusts the Potter to the proper height according to the patient’s size from a keyboard on the Potter.The sense of the sensor, portrait or landscape is detected by the Potter who adapts the synchronization parameters automatically.

By selecting a starting position (up or down), the system moves automatically after eachExposure in the next position to perform the number of images required for assembly of the examination.The reconstruction of the examination will be done using the software that manages the images of the sensor.

The radiation protection box has been designed to minimize patient exposure to X-rays.An X-ray window corresponding to the size of the detector (43x43cm maximum) will allow to follow the position of the detector.Sensor, thus protecting the body parts external to the examination. This box is self-powered by a batteryEmbedded and rechargeable.

Principle of beam limitation RX:

The X-ray tube will be positioned facing the Potter according to the distance given and set by the technician at the installation of the equip-ment.The collimator of the tube will be opened at 130 cm in height and closed according to the width of the sensor.The radioprotection box will be slid into the collimator rails at the outlet of the RX tube.An integrated horizontal laser will allow the vertical centering of the exposure area.The radioprotection box exposes two or three images, synchronized with the sensor.

This workflow procedure is managed from the control panel behind the screen at the general console.No connection to the generator control console, an x-ray detector allows automatic synchronization and anchorage of sensor images.

Throughout the duration of the examination, visuals (leds of colors) and safety devices are activated in order toThe reading of the traveling and an optimal security of the environment, patient and user.
