The remote-controlled Coda Control Amplifier CSi Balanced isdesigned with thoroughness reserved only for the finestpreamplifier and amplifier gain stages. Analytical design

techniques, both objective and subjective, were applied in an open-minded fashion with musical perfection as the goal. The CSi B features a wide range of design topologies and components ported

from both broad lineage and the most recent advances in the Coda products and design topologies.

Unlike other integrated amplifiers, the CSi B offers true “separates” performance. The CSi Balanced is

internally, essentially a Stereo Amplifier N°8 witha separate preamplifier section based on the circuit topology ofthe Coda 07x Preamplifier. Gain is controlled by a highperformance Burr Brown PGA2310 analog attenuator.The preamplifier section has its own separate power supply withmultiple independent transformer taps. A separate power supplyis provided for all controls and microprocessor control system.In the amplifier section of the CSi B, differential voltage gainthroughout provides exceptional rejection of external noise andcontributes to the inherent stability of the circuit. The front endis designed to provide a slew rate of 50 V/us without enteringclass B operation as is common in many other designs.This combined with excellent high frequency design insureslinear operation at high speed. This latest generation outputstage design is capable of producing peak currents in excess of100 peak amperes with a degree of linearity and speed unmatchedby other designs producing only a fraction of this massive amountof current. This is achieved by the implementation of severaldistinct circuit features. Each channel uses 20 individual outputtransistors with a combined power rating of over 4,000 watts and125 amperes and a bandwidth of 30 MHz. Amplifier 60.5 Mono The 60.5 is Coda’s flagship Class A/AB Mono Amplifier. PrecisionBias Class AB operation utilizing Coda’s proprietary bias controltopology. High Current amplifier design. Fully discrete FETdifferential input stage, Vertical MOSFET Voltage Gain Stage,DC coupled to an ultra wideband bipolar output stage. Very highlinear damping with minimal feedback, AC-coupled unbalancedinput and true DC coupled balanced input, Double-sided goldplated circuit boards, 3000VA toroidal power transformer, Low-impedance power supply filter capacitor array. Extremely widebandwidth transistors are used in the output stage instead of theusual TO3 devices used in other output designs.
