Established in 1999 we have extensive

experience in delivering creative

programmes that provide a meaningful

impact and leave a lasting legacy.

Steps Ahead believes in the power of creativity

to deepen connections within ourselves and the

world around us. Creativity deepens

engagement and encourages excitement and

curiosity providing a perfect environment for a school’s

community to thrive.

We are committed to developing ways to support

schools to embed creativity whilst fostering

sustainability within the curriculum.

Our latest project has been created as a direct

response to the environmental challenges we all

face.


The ‘Environmental Capsule Project’

This is a project with a BIG heart. The ‘Environmental

Capsule’ is designed to support, engage and inspire a

whole school to go on their unique creative learning

journey to explore environmental issues.

‘’ Tangled in fishing net, battered from months at sea – a capsule washes up on shore – in it a message – too important to ignore ...

…and so, the creative learning journey begins …”



There has never been a more pressing time to explore,

debate and learn about the environment. Knowledge is key.

It’s up to every one of us. Simple acts and small habits are

monumental milestones toward sustainable futures.

Through a range of exciting, thought provoking

immersive experiences we facilitate, encourage, and

support a school’s community to discover the

significance of the environmental capsule.

Nature’s impact on our well-being is profound,

so too are the footprints we make on Planet Earth.

In these unprecedented times we have each been reminded

that for us to thrive so must our planet.

Aims

• To invest in individuals to provide a memorable way to

learn about the environment and meaningful ways to

apply this knowledge, to create impact and legacy.

• To ignite imaginative and adventurous ways of

teaching and learning supporting schools to deliver an

enriched, purposeful and sustainable curriculum.

• To proactively champion arts and culture, develop

individuals within this sector to raise aspirations,

develop transferable skills and evoke awe and wonder.

• To encourage connections with nature and creativity to

enrich, nurture and heal - essential for our well-being.

The ‘Environmental Capsule Project’ The project has been successfully piloted in 6 schools.
