Position Overview
General Core Requirements/Routines:
Define and map current communication channels and strategies
Research best practice communication strategies, both within BHP and externally
Maintain ongoing communication routines
Conduct surveys to identify where communications can be refined and improved to meet stakeholder requirements
Define further the department’s audience and tailor communications to specific stakeholder groups
Selection Criteria
Social media website user (SharePoint, Yammer, Microsoft Teams, etc.) with graphic design and basic SharePoint knowledge is helpful
Passion and commitment to the charter values of BHP, including a clear understanding of our inclusion and diversity agenda
Motivation to learn and engage with a flexible and a positive attitude
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds with confidence and respect
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment whilst successfully managing tasks with minimal supervision
Communications savvy, creative and forward thinking
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Ideal Degree/Discipline
Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Bachelor of Arts with a related minor etc.
Eligibility Requirements
Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
Permanent residents and Australian citizens only
Identify as having disability
Candidates may be required to undergo a background check security clearance
