David Brill, Michael House School“Guys are quite stupid about it and think they aren’t going to get caught. The anti-doping people should test more of the guys at Craven Week, not just half of them. It’s basically cheating. And parents don’t take it seriously enough. Most parents know about their children doing it.

Kyran Odendaal, Jeppe High School“There are a lot of people out there who use but don’t get caught. There should bemore testing at the start of the season, and out of season.

Reinart Reitz, Paarl Boys High captain and lock “No-one gets tested ! The administrators always say they’re going to do random tests, but no-one ever gets tested. It’s a threat that no-one believes any longer.”

Siyasanga Makohliso, Queen’s College“Most of the guys are intelligent so they use it in the off-season, and in season they just use protein shakes to keep them at that size. We would like to have more testing.”
