I am not sure about you, but it has flown by and I am sure 2020 will be full of excitement too. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and commitment to helping us improve our school community. There have been many successes this session and I know there will be many more to come in 2020. Not least, Stenhouse Primary will be celebrating it’s 90 th birthday next year. We look forward to planning fantastic events to celebrate this and would welcome any suggestions on how we can best commemorate this. We hope you have a lovely holiday when it comes. With Kind Regards Laura Monaghan Flu Vaccinations The NHS have confirmed that they will be in school on Wednesday 18 th December to administer the Flu nasal spray. Building Works Our building works have started and as previously mentioned, there should be little impact on the day to day life of the school, as most of the work is being done after school. We are pleased to report, that the children are being really responsible and staying away from the building compound as much as possible. Please reinforce this. Thanks for your support. Morning routines A small reminder that children should be lined up, ready to come into the building each morning. Whilst it may be tempting to come in with them to help with jackets, bags etc, this can cause a lot of congestion in corridors and we aim to have your child as independent as possible, as soon as possible. Taking off their own jackets and bags is one of the first things we want our pupils to be able to do by themselves. Thank you for your understanding. Parents; Consultation Survey Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their ideas about using the hall for parents’ consultation meetings. We will look at your comments closely and use them to improve our Reporting to Parents experiences. The winner of the £10 Asda voucher was a P4 parent! It’s coming home to you in your child’s bag!
