I started Rock and Metal Music (R.N.M) out of a pure love for the music. I wanted to keep all you metal heads and rockers informed on the latest news from band everywhere, old bands like ACDC and Guns N Roses to new bands that are just starting out, for example the band ‘Sin Of Mine’ which you will hear all about in this week’s issue. Now I need to say thanks to a lot of people. I would like to thank all of the team hear at R.N.M Music for making this hard working year a very successful year. I couldn’t have chosen a better team to work with and I wouldn’t change a thing heading into next year. On behalf of the guys here, we would like to say thank you to the band’s we have done interviews with and have run story’s on. Without you these pages would be nothing but blank sheets. Finally a personal thanks to all of you who have read our magazine, you are the true spirit of Metal and I have take note of all your views on the magazine and have dedicate a hole section of this week’s issue to you because without you guys Metal and Rock as we know would die out.

In June 2007, the band Unleashed there

self titled ‘sin of mine’ (e.p.) album

which took the Underground by storm.

Within three weeks the album sold over

5000 copies and the band became know

all over England for there aggressive

guitar lines and amazing lyrical and

Screaming ability. After gigging in the

darkness of the underground for a year,

the guys released a self made video of

their song ‘curse of mine’ which will be

re-released in 2009 on the 7th December.

I asked the guys what we could expect

from the video, as it seems real close to

Christmas, they didn’t give much away

but they did say “This is a gift to there

fans.” and that we would have to wait

and see.

THE BIG BREAK THROUGH!

Lead guitarist and singer Sam

Broderick said “word of mouth is what

really helped us out”. The fans of the

started talking about the band all over, in

record stores, and on the internet. This

caught the attention of Roy Rickerson

a scout for the company ‘roadrunner

records’ who went and contacted and

asked to come and see them perform in

the underground. The band’s drummer

(Tom) told me that “the band was really

excited but at the same time nervous

as we all knew what was on the line” a

shot of a record deal was in sight all they

had to do was play one great show, that

could change their life. On the 12th April

08 the band played, and straight after

were offered a record deal.

“Un-fucking believable.” Were the

words used by bassist Rick Nelson to

describe his feelings about it all.

FIRST ALUBUM RECORDING!

“It was easy as we already had an

Album’s worth of songs to record,

it was just getting them recorded

and mastered.” Said Mick

Peterson (Rhythm Guitarist). As

I continued talking to the band I

learned that they wanted to produce

the album themselves. “So far it has

always been us and the music, we

want fans to hear the pure ‘sin of

mine’ experience before we even

let someone come and work with

us.” Sam said with roaring metal

spirit. The Album will be Released

on the 1st January 2010, after the

bands first big live performance on

New Year’s Eve at 9pm.

THE LIVE SHOW ( SO CLOSE)

As the show is getting nearer, I

decided to stop the band working

and have a chat about how they

were feeling. The band told me they

wanted to give a good

impression as it would be (to quote

Sam), “The first gig in

real light.” The guys

no longer had to hide

in the darkness and

now have the

opportunity to give

there music to world.

Rick Nelson

commented on the

acts that they have the

chance to play with on

stage. “We are

thankful to open

the night for so many amazing

acts, some of which were the

reason we all started in music

for.” After hearing this

comment I asked the guys what

other Band’s they were looking

forward to hear. Mick replied, “I

want to see Nickelback,

Metalica, Bullet (BFMV) well

there’s a lot really... but it’s

going to be a good night so tune

in.” I then asked if they liked

any other music styles par metal

and hard rock. “We all like dif-

ferent styles of music...” said

sam, “ but I believe it’s really

important to listen to a lot of

different styles of music or in

the end your just limiting

yourself on what you can do.” I

was invited to a studio session to

here the band polish up the new

album. It really put into perspec-

tive how much work and dedi-

cation these guy put into there

music and trust me when I say

there new album will kick your

ass to the ground.
