5.1 Secondary Steel

Roof Purlins, wall girts, eave struts, base angles and gable angles shall be cold formed from galvanized steel coils.

All other secondary steel members (wind columns, flange stays and other small misc. items) will be cleaned and painted at our factory with one coat of red oxide/grey oxide primer.

OR All secondary steel members will be shot blasted and painted at our factory

with the special paint system described below.

All primary steel members will be cleaned and painted at our factory with one coat of red oxide/grey oxide primer.

OR All primary steel members will be shot blasted to Swedish SA-2½ standard

and painted with the special paint system described below.

5.3 Special Paint System

Primer: (75microns DFT) : A two pack high performance epoxy primer. Volume solids contents 57%.

Intermediate coat: (125 micronss DFT) : A High Build Epoxy polyamide coating. Volume solids contents 56%.

Finish coat: (50 microns DFT) : A two component epoxy-polyamide pigmented with durable pigments giving a glossy topcoat. Volume solids contents 52%.

Total thickness = 250 microns DFT.

Finish coat: (50 microns DFT) : A two component acrylic polyurethane giving a high performance finish. Volume solids contents 52%.

Primer: (75microns DFT) : A two pack high performance epoxy primer containing zinc phosphate pigments. Volume solids contents 57%.

Intermediate coat: (145 micronss DFT) : A High Build Epoxy polyamide coating containing high quality inert pigments. Volume solids contents 56%.

Finish coat: (50 microns DFT) : A two component acrylic polyurethane giving a glossy topcoat. Volume solids contents 52%.

Total thickness = 270 microns DFT.

Primer: (25microns DFT) : A two pack high performance epoxy primer. Volume solids contents 57% (Red Color).

Primer: (75microns DFT) : A two pack high performance epoxy primer. Volume solids contents 57% (Red Color).

Primer: (50 microns DFT ). A high quality matt red oxide primer based on modified synthetic polyester resin incorporating anticorrosive Zinc Phosphate pigment.

Finish coat: (50 microns DFT ). A high quality Finish coat based on modified synthetic polyester resin incorporating anticorrosive Zinc Phosphate pigment. Color is semi gloss to be selected from standard color chart.

Total DFT = 100 microns

Section 6. Standard Supplied Items:

The following are normally supplied unless mentioned otherwise: 1. Anchor Bolts for Rigid Frames, End wall Posts & Framed openings2. Bracing3. Connection Bolts4. 12 / 16 mm Dia sag rods, Electro-galvanized Sag Rods, each is supplied with 2

electro-galvanized nuts and 2 electro galvanized washers, 1 row per bay at roof and sidewalls for bays between 4.5m and 7.6m, and 2 rows above 7.6m.

Section 7. Fabrication Period:

7.1 Our current Fabrication Period is ___ weeks from the latest date of receipt and acceptance of the following at STEELTEK Office in Jebel Ali, Dubai: • Down payment• Final change order• Acceptable Letter of Credit/Final Accepted L/C amendment • Signed final "approved as noted" Approval Drawings

7.2 If Approval drawings and design calculations are required, they will take a minimum of 3 weeks for submittal, provided downpayment is received.

7.3 Approval drawings must be returned to our office within 4 weeks of receipt by customer in order to start the detailing and fabrication works. Delay in returning approval drawings may result in a change to our delivery commitment.

Section 8. Unloading at job site:

The client or his contractor is responsible for unloading of STEELTEK supplied material at the job site.

Section 9. Proposal and Contract Validity:

This proposal is valid for 10 days from the above noted date. Any extension of validity by STEELTEK must be in writing.

Once the contract is signed it will valid for 60 days whereby the project has to be approved for production and first payment has to be paid within this period. Otherwise, STEELTEK reserves the right to re-price the contract according to the steel prices prevailing at the time of production and apply the increase if any.

Section 10. Changes/Revisions:

Any changes and/or revisions to the above stated scope of supply may result in variation in the price and a change in the delivery period. Changes must not hold payment for work completed in the original contract.

Section 11. Erection Works:

11.1 Our Scope of Work

1. Co-ordinate with the main contractor and check the setting of Anchor Bolts prior to the casting of pedestals.

2. Unload material at jobsite.

3. Check STEELTEK received material at jobsite against shipping list, Bill of Materials (BOM) and Erection Drawings to establish short shipments (if any).

4. Take full responsibility for protecting the STEELTEK supplied materials from any mechanical and environmental damage once it is delivered and store it appropriately at the jobsite.

5. Erect STEELTEK Materials in strict accordance with STEELTEK Erection drawings, guidelines and method statement.

6. Provide Workmen Compensation insurance for our erectors.

7. Provide Contractors all risk insurance during the duration of erection.

8. All civil and electro-mechanical works are excluded from STEELTEK scope.

9. The supply and apply of non-shrink Epoxy grouts under steel columns (if required), to be done by main contractor not by STEELTEK.

10. Any alteration, changes, different than what is shown in STEELTEK drawings, if requested by you, to be considered as a variation with additional cost and time extension which should approved by the buyer prior to commencing it.

11.2 Special Conditions required by STEELTEK

Our erection price and erection duration are based on the following conditions:

1. Civil work of the building to be ready for us to start erection immediately upon receiving STEELTEK supplied material on site.

2. The setting of anchor bolts must be in complete accordance with STEELTEK “Anchor Bolt Setting Plan Drawing issued for construction to be done by Main Contractor and checked by STEELTEK.

STEELTEK STEELTEK FZCOFZCO3. Client/Main Contractor must provide proper and adequate storage and

access area for unloading and storing of materials at jobsite.

4. 3.00 Met wide, clear compacted and unobstructed area around each building necessary for access to be arranged by the main contractor.

5. Potable and non-potable water supply and electrical power supply on site during the erection period to be provided to us free of charge.

6. Site security at jobsite to be provided by the main Contractor in order to prevent theft of STEELTEK materials or tools & equipment. In case of rubbery, compensation to be claimed from the main contractor.

7. A space for project signboard to be allocated for STEELTEK jobsite sign.

8. The building RCC slabs must be completed before erection begins to enable us to unload STEELTEK material on finished slabs in order to prevent damage to the material prior to erection. Good compacted surface may be accepted.

9. Damages to STEELTEK work caused by the work of other contractors shall be corrected at their cost and additional time will be requested.

10. Our erection price is based on one mobilization cost. If we have to stop work on site due to reasons inflicted on us by contractor/consultant/owner for a period that is longer than 10 days we reserve the right to charge for remobilization. The cost of each remobilization is Dhs.5,000. The additional time required for each remobilization is 7 days.

11. If erection is stopped for short intervals of time (days) due to a cause made by contractor/consultant/owner, and our labor sits idle at the site, the amount of Dhs. 1000/day will be charged for each such stoppage.

12. All Carnage to be supplied by the main contractor.

11.3 Erection Duration:

Erection will be completed after _8 Weeks from arrival of first delivery of STEELTEK Material at jobsite provided that no stoppage is imposed by customer/contractor once erection commences.

11.4 Special Inspection:

Any inspection and special testing (other than STEELTEK standard Q/C, Q/A) is excluded, and will be charged extra if required. Payment should not be held because of testing.

Section 12. 13 . Payment Terms:

13.1 Payment of materials supply

Payment to be by current / post dated checks (90 days) payable to STEELTEK:

20% of contract price to be given at the time of signing the contract. 30% of contract price to be given at the time of approving the drawings for

production 50% of contract price to be given to us prior to start shipment.

OR 20% Down payment thru telex transfer. 80% payment by a sight irrevocable letter of credit confirmed by a UAE

bank.

For Extended payment up to 90 days please add 0.75% of the C & F price for each month of extension i.e. for 90 days please increase the C & F price by 3 x 0.75 = 2.25%.

The value of LC’s opened from a bank outside the UAE should be increased by 0.5% per quarter to cover confirmation charges in the UAE.

Note:All materials are the property of STEELTEK, even it is in the customer site, until the full payment is received

Overland Delivery to countries within the G.C.C.All expenses in UAE including custom duties and clearance fees are paid by STEELTEK. Deliveries are made to the Customer’s jobsite. Demurrage due to delays in unloading trailers is the Customer responsibility. Supply price does not include the unloading of STEELTEK’s materials at the Customer’s jobsite.

Overland Delivery to countries outside the G.C.C. Any expense incurred inside the importing country, including custom duties, taxes, clearance fees or demurrage due to delays in unloading trailers is the Customer responsibility. Supply price does not include the unloading of STEELTEK’s materials at the Customer’s jobsite.

Deliveries to a Sea Port Any expense incurred inside the importing country, including custom duties, taxes, clearance fees or demurrage due to delays in returning containers to shipping line is the Customer responsibility.Our price is up to the port only, price of shipment from the port to job site are to be borne by the customer.

Section 13. 14 . Assumptions, Deviations & Exclusions:

14.1 Standard Exclusions

1. No allowance has been made to design, detail, coordinate, manage or build any architectural features or art works other than what is shown on STEELTEK’s offer or STEELTEK’s drawings.

2. No allowance has been made to coordinate or manage the design of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) services nor have we allowed for the support of MEP equipment unless specifically mentioned in STEELTEK’s offer and agreed upon in writing with the Customer.

3. Site paint and touch-up to be done by the erection sub-contractor.

4. Our price is for supply only, erection price to be obtained from erection sub-contractor.

5. Our price does not include doors, windows or any other works not specifically mentioned in the offer and agreed upon in writing with the Customer.

6. All interior partitions are to be made by others and to be self supported unless specifically mentioned in our offer and agreed upon in writing with the Customer.

7. Any inspection and special testing of any STEELTEK Building element (other than what is in STEELTEK standard Quality Plan) is excluded. Additional price will be charged if such inspection and special testing is required. However, STEELTEK will provide customer with a reasonable quantity of material for testing at no cost to customer. STEELTEK accepts to conduct additional tests (at customer expense) at 3rd party testing labs selected by customer.

8. All civil, mechanical and electrical works are to be done by the main contractor.

9. Non-shrink epoxy grouting under steel columns is not in STEELTEK scope of work.

10. Unloading of material at jobsite (for jobs requiring overland transport) is not included in our supply price and to be done by the erection subcontractor, the main contractor or the customer.

11. Shop Joints shall be full strength butt welds at locations of minimum stress. Members of length more than 6.0m may have a maximum of one welded shop joint required to suit available length and to minimize the wastage.
