KettenWulf products for all applications in the steel industry

The steel and metallurgical industries hold one ofthe harshest environments for chain technology.Direct exposure to abrasion or heat, heavy loads and high speeds are a challenge for a trouble-free opera-tion of each chain system.

To meet these complex technical requirementsfound in all stages of steel manufacturing orprocessing, our R&D department always works inclose collaboration with our customers.

Iron ore loading andpreparation facility

Low-maintenance reclaimer chains for the handling of coal, iron ore and other additives as well as pan conveyor chains for charge preparation are onlytwo of the many product solutions in which we have proven our superior technical capabilities.

The use of special materials in combination withhighest manufacturing precision and respectiveheat treatment of the individual chain components increase the resistance of our chains to high tem-peratures and wear considerably.

Round strand con-tinuous casting

In ingot casting and continuous casting, chains needto withstand temperatures of up to 1000 degrees Celsius and weights of up to 30 metric tons. This re-quires comprehensive know-how, which KettenWulf has not only gained through extensive and close collaboration with world-leading OEMs, but also through the many field operations worldwide that run on KettenWulf chain technology.

Sprockets for complete drive systems

Sprockets are a decisive factor in the capability and service life of every chain system. KettenWulf there-fore produces its own sprockets to ensure the high quality of all products. Our product range covers in addition to sprockets in all DIN gearings also indivi-dual solutions with optimal tooth shapes andwheel sizes.

Using high quality heat-treated tempered steel we set quality standards for wear-resistant sprockets and drive components.

Optimum tooth shape for all designs

We supply the corresponding sprockets for all chains. In addition to sprockets with DIN gearing sprockets with optimised tooth shapes and milled surfaces can also be produced on our CNC machi-nes. Designs in high quality materials with tempered and additionally inductively hardened teeth are part of our standard product programme.

Our production range covers all designs of sprockets, such as sprockets with single and double sided hub, divided sprockets, sprockets with bolted on segmentsor tooth shells, shear-pin sprockets, pinion sprocketsand noise-attenuated special sprockets as well as har-dened drive and tensioning wheels for chain bucket ele-vators without gearing.
