Where does Africa stand with regards to the SDGs?
Africa reality check report:
• Large data gaps continue to dominate. Only 40% of the indicators inthe global SDGs data framework are accompanied by data in Africa
• Economic growth remains subdue, so as social-economic inclusion
• Global SDGs framework in place, but lacks fully-fledgedimplementation and accountability mechanism
• Financing for SDGs has fallen short of target and the funding gap isparticularly huge in Africa
• Most of the progress towards the SDGs is linked to the goal that werealso included in the MDGs. But, there is a delay in the implementationin the new areas of the SDGs, including SDG 6
