PENNSYLVANIA STATE AERIE, F.O.E.P.O. BOX 349, WAYNESBURG, PA 15370
On December 7th Brookville Aerie #983 invited me to attend their Aerie Meeting andpresented me with a check for $1000.00 for my Charity the Art Ehrmann CancerFund. I would like to thank all their members who donated to my Charity.
On December 11th Jan, Becky, Mike and I left for Bethlehem Aerie #284 and checkedinto our hotel. Genie and Larry Lutseo took us all to Frank’s to eat. Dinner wasdelicious. We then went over to the Aerie and visited with members there. I wassurprised to see so many young people at the Aerie. They were having a Texas Hold-Em Tournament so Jan, Mike and I played. Then back to the room for some rest.On Saturday morning we took a tour to downtown Bethlehem. We went to the Putzat the Moravian Church. The girls did some shopping and Mike and I sat on a parkbench and ate ice cream. What a beautiful place to be at the Christmas season. Wethen went back to the Aerie for their Christmas party. MSP Chris Shupe and Dwainewere there along with Debbie McFerren and her husband John. They had karaokeand they really had a lot of good singers. The Soggy Mountain Boys accompaniedby Mike sang also. Boys, don’t quit your day jobs! I also had the privilege ofpresenting Larry Lutseo with his Hall of Fame Award in front of their Aerie andAuxiliary members. The Aerie and Auxiliary presented me with a check for $500.00.Rich and Shirley Cosner also gave me a check for my Charity. We always have agood time in Bethlehem and this time was no different. Thanks to everyone atBethlehem Aerie #284 for having us at your Christmas Party.
On December 19th Jan, Becky, Mike and I headed for Blairsville Aerie #1488 andmet MSP Chris Shupe and Dwaine at our hotel. From there we went on to SomersetAerie #1801 and were greeted by Worthy President Shifter, Trustee Bob and InsideGuard Lee. They presented me with a check for $1000.00 for my Charity. We hadlunch and left for Irwin Aerie #1671 and we were greeted by Trustee Brian andbartender Leah. After we visited for a while we left for Jeannette Aerie #844. Wemet bartender Debbie, former Trustee Mark and members Ken and Greg. Aftervisiting we went back to the motel to get ready to go to the Blairsville Aerie #1488Christmas Party. They were having an ugly sweater contest and Jan, Mike and I werethe judges. They have some very creative people there and it was hard to choose. The Aerie presented me with a check for $3000.00, District #8 presented me with a
check for $200.00 and the Blairsville Auxiliary presented me with a check for$100.00. We had a wonderful dinner and drank several adult beverages. Thanks toDwaine for riding shotgun with Jan. He only let her roll through one stop sign.
The next day it was back to Clarion for my own Aerie and Auxiliary Christmas party. We ask for a small donation at the door and we raised $500.00 for my Charity.
Mike and my goal for membership is 6275 new/re-enrolled members for the year. Asof the end of November we had 3112 new and re-enrolled members. That is anaverage of 519 members per month for the first six months. That means that we needto get 527 per month for the next six months. Mike said we can do it. Sign up amember and have a chance to win a new car.
Events I plan on attending this year are:
January 9-10th District #2 Tour Starting in Falls CreekJanuary 16th State Executive Board Meeting ClarionJanuary 23rd District #4 Tour Starting in New BethlehemMarch 19-20th District #3 Tour Starting in New BrightonApril 16th MSP Testimonial Dinner BlairsvilleApril 23rd My Testimonial Dinner Clarion
Remember; “Ask not what your Aerie can do for you, but what you can do for yourAerie”
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
