2017 OPEN WOMEN FIELD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP 10th—12th JUNE 2017
Hockey NSW President’s Welcome Message
On behalf of the Board of Hockey NSW, welcome to the Country Comfort Hunts Liverpool Open Women Field State Championships. It’s wonderful to be invited back to Moorebank for another Field State Championships and we’d like to thank our hosts, Metropolitan South West Hockey Association and Moorebank Liverpool Hockey Club, for having us. Thanks are due in no small part to Country Comfort Hunts Liverpool, our Naming Rights and Official Volunteers Partner for the Open Women’s Field State Championships this year. They’ve been extremely generous in providing for our volunteers and they deserve your generosity in turn. Their support means all the more given that our volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport. They’ve been working hard in the lead up to the event and will no doubt be very busy throughout – so to those individuals giving up their own time to ensure the smooth running of this event, we’re extremely grateful. Be sure to show them your own kindness and thanks as you make your way around the fields this weekend. The Open Women’s Field State Championships is a stage where our most experienced female hockey players come together to test their skills and socialise with their peers. I encourage everyone to enjoy both elements of the event, soaking in all that makes our hockey community so special. Finally, a thank you to all the friends, family and supporters that have made the journey to Moorebank as spectators. Your dedication to our sport is one of its greatest assets and we hope you enjoy your time at the Country Comfort Hunts Liverpool Open Women’s Field State Championships. Hockey Association President’s Welcome
I extend to all who attend and/or participate in the Hockey NSW Open Womens FSC at the Liverpool City Hockey Complex, a huge welcome! The Moorebank Liverpool District Hockey Club (on behalf of the Metropolitan South West Hockey Association) is proud to conduct these championships, particularly having in mind the increasing number of ladies competitions now being conducted at both the Liverpool City Hockey Complex and the MacArthur Regional Hockey Centre at Narellan. Added to this is the high standard of the Sydney Women’s Hockey League, many of whose matches are played at our wonderful complex. With the assistance of the Liverpool City Council, the encouragement of our State and Federal Members, Melanie Gibbons and Craig Kelly, and Hockey NSW we are always looking to promote hockey as well as better the fine facilities here at Moorebank. Enjoy the championships, the camaraderie they offer and the skill to be displayed. Take the chance also to tour the Greater City of Liverpool with its long military traditions and vast shopping opportunities. Kevin Flack President Moorebank Liverpool District Hockey Club
