Read John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16-17, Revelation 22:13, Philippians 2:9-11 DIGGING DEEPER Unpack the Biblical text to discover what the Scripture says or means about a particular topic and how the truths from the Bible apply to our lives. 1. In Philippians 2:9 the Bible says that God has highly exalted Jesus, and in Colossians 1:17 the Bibles says that Jesus holds all things together. How do w reconcile these truths with the reality that there is so much evil in the world? 2. How can we minister to a believer that has gone through a dicult season, or even a tragedy, and asks “Why has God allowed this to happen?” How can we minister to an unbeliever? 3. Is it possible to separate belief in Christ as Savior from submission to Him as Lord? Why or why not? 4. Have you given Jesus full control of your life? Is He fully on the throne of your life, or are you still on the throne? What areas of your life do you find yourself struggling to give up control over? LIVING IT OUT 1. What can you do dierently this week in response to these passages that proclaim Jesus is Lord? 2. What are ways that you can exalt Jesus this week? 3. Who is someone that you know that needs to hear that Jesus is Lord and the good news of the Gospel?

Even in seasons of uncertainty, difficulty, or fear, we should never doubt that Jesus is Lord. His power is still intact, His plans are still on track, and His purposes will be fulfilled.

Read John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16-17, Revelation 22:13, Philippians 2:9-11
