What is a STEM Club?
A STEM Club …
• Is a gathering of students that meets regularly in an informal environment to work on inquiry-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities.
• Might take the form of an out of school club or might expand regular school activities during the school day.
• Can meet the needs of students ranging from Pre-K through college.
• Can vary in focus and activities.

SFAz Seed Funding ¤ Available Funding:
Between $300-$500 for seed funding through SFAz
¤ Requirements to Qualify: u Launch a STEM Club by September 15, 2013 u Recruit a minimum of 5 club members u Meet at least twice per month u Participate in online STEM Club Network u Participate in SFAz’s STEM Club surveys twice per year
¤ Commitment Letter:
Must be signed and returned by August 1, 2013 ¤ Use of Funds:
MUST be used for supplies for STEM Clubs purchased after July 1, 2013
¤ Payment/Reimbursement of Funds: (paid to schools) u MUST complete online reimbursment form by 8/15/2013 – Late submissions will not be funded u Reimbursment request MUST include a reciept of purchase order u A reimbursment check issued by August 30, 2013
