gardens, and is a true reflection of 'Georgian' architecture making it perfect for unique wedding receptions and garden ceremonies.

Featuring yesteryear elegance, Oatlands House provides atmosphere and charm from the first sip of a celebration cocktail on the pillared terrace, to a romantic evening stroll through the lush gardens. With five rooms to select from, your style and needs will be well covered at Oatlands House.

Oatlands House is one of four highly awarded properties owned by Navarra Venues, together with Conca D'oro, Le Montage and Curzon Hall.

HISTORYConstructed in 1823, Oatlands House was firstly owned

by Captain Percy Simpson, an officer and former Governor of Paxos. In 1840 the house was sold to John Bettington who had started a business in George Street with wharves at Darling Harbour. He became interested in sheep breeding with William Lawson, the explorer, whose daughter he married and who was the first bride to be carried over the threshold of Oatlands House.

Oatlands appears to have been named after Oatlands Park in England, close to the land of Lord Dundas, after whom this area is named. Navarra Venues acquired the historic Oatlands House in 2012.

The Enchanted Garden is an intimate garden adjoining the Garden Ballroom. A sandstone feature wall is set against lush palms and manicured topiaries.

The Garden Chateau features a beautiful Victorian style gazebo with wrought iron domed top, intricate leaf design, Corinthian style columns and romantic bench seating.

To Book Your Event To confirm your booking, please contact your Event Producer, who will create a booking agreement for you, outlining your agreed date, event room, timings, price per head, minimum numbers and package inclusions, as well as our full terms and conditions. Your Booking Fee and signed Booking Agreement must be returned to secure your event. The deposit amount is determined by the event room you are booking, which will be outlined in your Booking Agreement. PaymentsYour Booking Fee and signed Booking Agreement must be returned to secure your event. This payment will be shown on your final invoice.Second Payment – equivalent to your Booking Fee, is required eight months prior to your event date. Should you book your date within the eight month period, adjusted time lines will apply. Final Payment – The final payment will be invoiced to you upon your final confirmation of guest numbers and inclusions. The balance will be payable 14 days prior to your event. All payments can be paid by direct bank transfer (EFT) or credit card. Surcharges will apply.
