A big thanks to the
participants of the 7th
edition of the Starch
forum. The dynamic
starch industry in India is
growing by leaps and
bounds. Economic
factors aside, legislative
scenario is also
changing for the better.
As you know this was the7th edition of the IndianStarch Forum. Over thepast six editions we havebeen focusing on thechallenges faced by thestarch industry, both in
terms of competitiveness at the supplier side as well as the
uniqueness of applications on the demand side. These are
challenging times not just for the starch industry, but also for all
the other industries that use starch. Demonetization and other
macroeconomic factors have thrown in lot of threats and
opportunities. Starch is no different from other ingredients, in
terms of how the potential is yet to be discovered in India.
Many demand sectors are becoming sophisticated. While we
discuss the issues, let us not forget that we are on the cusp of a
great leap upwards in revenue. I hope you found the sessions
informative.
