What is a STaR chart?

School Technology and Readiness

•Online tool for districts in assessing and planning technology•Aligned with the Long Range Plan for Technology for 2006-2020•Must be completed online each year by teachers, campuses, and districts

•Teaching and Learning Component:•Little positive trends except that we didn’t fall into the Early Tech stage•It has been the same stage for three years•Good indications that this area needs to be addressed in setting campus goals

In Conclusion: Our campus needs to “STEP IT UP!” in the technology department!!

To do this, we all need to make a commitment to:

help others who lack the skills needed to make technology a plus in their classrooms

Agree that technology is a much needed change and that it is okay!!

Remember that our kids and their success is what we are here for
