Happy New Year to all and hope you will have great fortunes in the year ahead. 2010 is going to be an exciting year for North Star as the casino and hotel construction is back in full swing. By now you should see some of the exterior hotel walls assembled.

To update you with the changes coming up, when this phase of the construction is complete, we will have 97 hotel rooms, a new main entrance, several conference suites, spa, an additional Star Club, poker room, coffee/gift shop, more gaming space and other hotel amenities. We are all excited to see the project resuming. I will keep you updated with more information as the project develops. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to offering you more gaming options and services.

We also have some exciting promotions to start off the New Year and we hope you will enjoy participating. Look inside for details of the Break the Piggy Bank and Warm Winnings promotions. Break the Piggy Bank! Come Break the Piggy Bank January 4 to January 29. Every 60 points will earn you one entry automatically into the drawing. Every Friday starting January 8 at 11am to 8pm we will draw twenty winners to smash a piggy bank. Each bank will have a prize worth $100 to $1,000 in cash and Free Play. Every Friday four lucky banks will contain cash, Free Play and an entry into the Big Pig Smash for a chance to win $2,500!

Big Pig SmashSixteen lucky winners will be chosen to go to the Big Pig Smash on January 30 at 8pm, worth $250 to $2,500! Remember to play with your Star Club Card one hour before the time of the drawings for your entries to count.

Second Chance DrawingDon’t worry if your name didn’t get called on the Friday drawings, you could still be a winner! We will draw ten random winners on January 30 for the Last Chance Pig Smash.
