What is in the report?
• Graphic presentation of student performance on STAR (2004-2009), SAT (2006/2007 &2007/2008), ACT (2007-2008), AP Exams(2007-2009), API (2009), UC Analytical Writing (2005-2008), and CAHSEE (2009).
• Presentation of summary test performance as well as performance on reporting clusters within each test.
• Sub-group performance (EL, Disability, Ethnicity, and Gender).
• Comparative Schools .
Why?
• Provide teachers/administrators access to data that may inform instruction (Reporting Clusters), site councils (Single Plan), and the Board (District Goals and Action Plan; Curriculum decisions).
• Provide a longitudinal reference for parents, teachers, administrators, the board, and the broader educational community.
• Provide point of reference for continuous improvement related to the PUSD assessment program.
Comparable Districts/Schools
• In addition to examining performance trends within the District, the report provides a comparison of PUSD with other high performing Districts/Schools. Variables used in identifying comparables included API, US News Ranking, proximity, and socio-economic similarity.

• 92% of PHS grads enrolled at UC, who took the UC Analytical Writing Placement, met the requirements versus 72% of all UC enrollees who took the test.
