Even for the specialist these courses enable you to see how your own area of expertise fits in with other components in modern management decision making and how your decisions and activities affect those of your colleagues and vice versa. It also provides evidence to major employers of your interest and ability in business and systems consulting.

How to study

The programme provides you with a real live SAP system to explore - ordinarily you would not have access to that resource until working for a large SAP user or consultancy company. The live SAP system and course materials are hosted by the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany so as well as receiv-ing a SAP Certification upon passing the course you will also receive a Course Certificate from Duisburg Essen.

1) Case study based learning

The course is organised into case studies that are completed in sequence. You can track your progress through the course as well as identifying where your strengths and weaknesses are - making it easier to complete the course and obtain your SAP Certification.

2) SAP Course materials

The SAP course materials are not usually available to anyone not taking a course in an SAP classroom. However through the special arrangements for this programme university students will also gain access online to the materials used in SAP classrooms around the world.

3) Examination and Certification

As a student candidate you will also receive one free exam place. Exams are held centrally in Birmingham and are taken alongside other SAP students. To enter for an exam you must have completed all of the case studies. This is because the exam features elements of all of the case studies and you will have the best chance to succeed by complet-ing the course.

4) Cost

If you wished to study CRM for example privately without being a university student at a school that is a member of the UK&I University Alliance programme it could cost up to 7,500 Euros including the exam. Students who are currently registered at a UA member school in the UK & Ireland pay 650 Euros for the ERP course or 700 Euros for the CRM

course including the exam. This is only open to University Alliances students - not to private students or students from non-University Alliances universities.

To apply you must register at www.erp4students.co.uk. Prospective students must also complete a short essay (250-500 words) on why you feel an SAP Certification would benefit your career. Upon review of the essay and receipt of the standard fee you will be registered for the course.
