FAITH is the basic concept of Christianity, and is the
characteristic that qualifies a person to be called a Christian.
1 In the third year of Cyrus king ofPersia a thing was revealed untoDaniel, whose name was calledBelteshazzar; and the thing was true,but the time appointed was long: andhe understood the thing, and hadunderstanding of the vision.

2 In those days I Daniel was mourningthree full weeks. 3 I ate no pleasantbread, neither came flesh nor wine inmy mouth, neither did I anoint myselfat all, till three whole weeks werefulfilled.

We can be close to the presence and power of God, yet miss the
message through lack of spiritual perception.
8b and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. 9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

3 Now as he went on his way, heapproached Damascus, and suddenly alight from heaven shone around him.4 And falling to the ground he heard avoice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why areyou persecuting me?“ … 7 The men whowere traveling with him stood speechless,hearing the voice but seeing no one.

10 And, behold, a hand touched me, whichset me upon my knees and upon thepalms of my hands. 11 And he said untome, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved,understand the words that I speak untothee, and stand upright: for untothee am I now sent. And whenhe had spoken thisword unto me, I stoodtrembling.

The world often displays a love that is contingent on the
recipient’s behavior or form of repayment of the love.
12 Then he said to me, "Fear not,Daniel, for from the first day that youset your heart to understand andhumbled yourself before your God,your words have been heard, and Ihave come because of your words.

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Persistence in prayer is not necessary because God's reluctance needs to be
overcome. It is necessary to train us.
17 How can my lord's servant talk with my lord? For now no strength remains in me, and no breath is left in me." 18 Again one having the appearance of a man touched me and strengthened me.

19 And he said, "O man greatly loved, fearnot, peace be with you; be strong and ofgood courage." And as he spoke to me, Iwas strengthened and said, "Let my lordspeak, for you havestrengthened me."

It is the touch of God that brings strength.
Daniel was touched by God, and received strength in his
weakness.
9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficientfor you, for my power is made perfect inweakness." Therefore I will boast all themore gladly about my weaknesses, so thatChrist's power may rest on me.

19 “Don’t be afraid,” he said, “for youare very precious to God. Peace!Be encouraged! Be strong!”

EPHESIANS 2:6
1. STAND IN FAITH and BELIEVE that He cares about us more than we do.
2. STAND IN FAITH and BELIEVE that he is Doing more than we understand.
3. STAND IN FAITH and BELIEVE that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
