The award is done to multiple suppliers and also multiple awards can be executed in different period.Before the implementation of this feature, only one PO was created per supplier and all the line items should have valid quote before converting them to an award.With the implementation of the Staggered Award, based on the control, multiple awards are allowed as well the partiall awards.The Staggered Award for Auction was available before 12.2.2 but not for RFQ. The RFQ Staggered Award is delivered in 12.2.2. This feature is available only for commercial Sourcing, meaning it is not available for CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management for Public Sector) while awarding the solicitations.II - SetupThe usage of the Staggered Award is set while creating the Auction or RFQ. In the Controls page there is the check box for Allow Staggered Awarding. Check this control to enable the Staggered Award feature.1. Controls in Auction.

III - Steps in the Staggered Award using RFQ as a sample. Similar is done for Auction.The sample is a simple case of RFQ with 2 lines to be awarded in two different occasions. 1. Create a RFQ with Allow Staggered Awarding checked in the Controls page.1.1. RFQ Header and Lines.

1.2. Check the Allow Staggered Awarding in the Controls as shown in the setup above.1.3. RFQ Suppliers.

1.4. Publish the RFQ.

2. Log as the supplier user.

2.1. Create the quote.

2.2. Execute the quote.

2.3. Submit the quote

3. Creating surrogate quote for the other supplier.

4. Log in as the buyer.4.1. Close the quote choosing the option Close RFQ from Actions.

4.2. Award line 1 to suppliers choosing option Award By Line from Actions.

4.3. Award line 1 to two suppliers splitting the quantities.

4.4. Line 1 is awarded.

4.5. Complete the Award choosing option Complete Award from Actions.

4.6. Selection for create standard Purchase Order and share award decision with suppliers.

4.7. Award line 1 summary to create the PO's.

4.8. Purchase Orders are created by supplier. Two POs are created. One per each supplier for line 1. The Status of the RFQ is Partially Awarded, Outcome.

5. Award line 2 to two suppliers. This can be done any time in the life of the RFQ.

5.1. Award line 2 to 2 suppliers (quantity 30 for one and 70 for the other).

5.2. Choose Action Complete Award if this is the last line(s) to award in the RFQ.

5.3. Complete Award.

5.4. Select Create Standard Purchase Order.

5.5. Create Purchase Order for line 2.

5.6. Confirmation page showing awarded lines and the corresponding Purchase Orders. Multiple link is shown when the supplier were in more than one line resulting in multiple PO's.

5.7. Click Multiple link to see the Purchase Orders awarded to the supplier.
