“I think growing older is both
funny and sad, but mostly it
just makes me grateful to be
alive and able to reflect. I have
been an Episcopal priest for 33
years and have had extensive
experience in ministering with
the elderly. Now, I am growing
old myself. I hate it when people
are ashamed of being old. We
should be proud!”

“What we’ve got here is failure to communicate.” Spoken by the Captain of Road Prison 36, “Cool Hand Luke”
1967, Jalem Productions, Warner Bros./Seven Arts Dist.
Fr. Jeff, our Vestry, our staff, our ministry leaders, and members of the Communications Commit-tee are all working hard to make sure that folks will not be able to say that about St. Timothy’s.
Here are some of our current works in progress:
Updating our website Creating new Sunday Bulletins and Announcements Submitting more press releases to help raise our visibility in the community Acquired a few Large Print Prayer Books and Hymnals Sending weekly Announcements and Reminders via email Searching for volunteers to keep our exterior sign updated Coming Soon: Parishioner access to Members Only section of the website using
our new REALM church management software. Using this new feature you will be able to: Check your pledge status and contributions made
Update your personal and contact information Look up contact info for other parishioners who have granted permission
Have you seen the new storage shed next to
our East parking lot?
Many Thanks To
Eileen and George Patterson
who generously donated a 10 x 12 storage shed to be used to store select oversized items for our rummage sale.
You may go on vacation over the summer but the church utility bills don’t. We would greatly appre-ciate your efforts to keep your pledges current over the summer so we can pay our bills on time.

Scholarship ● Character ● Community.
It is June. School is drawing to a close after an eventful year. Thank you to everyone
who has been involved with our school this year.
St. Timothy's Prep. is a wonderful place to have your children. Our children start
public speaking in kindergarten and continue to build confidence and leadership quali-
ties as they progress through our school.
Our students have compassion for others and a good moral background. Academics
are rigorous as is homework. St. Tim's students are praised for their politeness and in-
telligence on every public outing (field trips, camp, singing engagements, etc.) A St.
Timothy's education gives your child the start they need to achieve.
We will be busy the 1st two weeks in June. Tuesday, June 3rd our 6th graders will be
holding International Day. The rest of the school will travel country to country with their passports learning
about each 6th graders' country and its traditions, religions, foods, dress, and more. On Thursday the 5th, we
will have our traditional Volunteers' Chapel where we honor all the parents and friends who have taken their
time to help at our school. Friday the 6th our pre-k class, dressed in caps and gowns, will have their graduation
ceremony. On Saturday, June 7th our family picnic is scheduled from 2 to 6:00 at Corwin Park. Our 8th graders
(the first class in three years) will be graduating at 10:00 on Tuesday, June 10th. We are very proud of them,
and we know that they are well prepared for high school. Wednesday, June 11th is our K- 7th grade promotion
at 8:30 a.m. Then it is time for summer vacation. Students all have summer reading assignments and our
teachers sign up to man the computer lab on Wednesdays so they can come in and take Reading Counts tests.
Have a wonderful summer! See you in August.
Janis Carlile Head of School
The 3rd/4th graders raised $1,190.00 for the Pacific
Marine Mammal Center by offering sandwich lunches
during the school year, wrapping calendars for a local
businessman, and from donations made by family
and friends. They were supported in their lunch program by Overland Meat Co. who provided the sandwich-
es at a very reasonable cost, permitting a higher profit margin.
Earlier in the school year, the class collected supplies for P.M.M.C. that totaled over $400.This is the second
year that this class has helped the P.M.M.C. as their service project. This year their efforts were recognized
with an invitation from the PMMC to a release of rehabilitated marine mammals back into the ocean on
June 9th! Well done and CONGRATULATIONS!

Return Service Requested
O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray on your servants as they
begin another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their
trust in your goodness all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
