WOMEN'S RETREAT-
THE FEMININE GENIUS:
This three-day retreat for women will focus on Pope Saint John Paul II's writings titled "The Dignity and Vocation of Women." Fr. David Mary Engo, FFM, will lead women through this beautiful document by the Pope. There will be plenty of time for prayer, reflection, quiet con-templation, and socialization with other women striving to live the Gospel in today's world. This weekend event, held at the Christ Prince of Peace Retreat Center in Benton, Tenn., begins 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, and ends Sunday, Dec. 8. Visit dioknox.org/calendar for registration forms, contact information, and a complete schedule of events.
Married Couples: The tiny investment of a WWME week-end will pay dividends your whole married life! Learn how to grow closer by joining us at an upcoming Worldwide Mar-riage Encounter weekend. The next Weekends are November
16-18 and March 1-3. You can get more infor-mation or apply online at GATN-wwme.org or by calling 678-242-WWME.
ATTENTION ALL TEENS!!
Our teenagers are exposed to so much in school: peer circles, and
social media including suicide, drugs and drink-ing, sex, abuse, killings, gay “marriage”, gender confusion and the list goes on. Isn’t it time we expose them to the treasures of their Catholic faith, such as Eucharistic miracles, incorruptible Saints, chastity, God’s plan for marriage, the power of the sacrament of confession, the evil of abortion, apologetics, and powerful conversion stories?
Catholic Teens United is a new program starting up in the Diocese of Knoxville for our Catholic teens, from 8th grade to college. We will be meeting monthly at area parishes to expose our teens to the truth of Catholicism, empower them to make an impact on our world through prayer in Eucharistic Adoration, and help them grow in holiness through the sacrament of Confession.
Our first CTU gathering is Sunday, November 11 from 12 noon –2 pm at Saint John Neumann in th gym. We have an excellent speaker, Jimmy Mitchell, to kick off our program. Jimmy is an inspirational speaker out of Nashville, who is very involved with Life Teen and has traveled the world running Life Teen camps in 3 continents. Pizza will be provided. Tell your friends and come see what it’s all about!
