The School cross country is on Thursday this week. The students who gain a place will compete at the Broken Hill combined carnival on Friday 11 th May. The RTPS fete will be in term 4 this year, I understand that the last fete organisation involved each class having some parent volunteers responsible for different stalls etc. Please consider if you would like to be involved this year as we will soon be asking for names. It is a huge task organising a fete so the more help the easier it will be. I would like to thank the P&C and all School Canteen volunteers for their efforts in keeping the Canteen operating for our School. On occasion we have had to close the canteen because there is no one available. This leads me to mention the possible idea of employing a canteen supervisor as done in the past to maintain the canteen for five days a week. We will discuss and consider this item at the next P&C meeting next week. Have a great week Nigel Sherrard Principal Railway Town P & C will be holding a Mothers’ Day Stall on Thursday 10 th May. Prices will range from $2 to $7. Please come along and show Mum just how much you care. Active After School Active After School begins today and will run every Tuesday and Thursday weeks 2-9. DISC FEVER K-2 will be holding a Disco on Monday 14 th May, 4pm to 5.00pm. It is a gold coin entry and girls to bring a plate and boys drinks. US Consulate Visitor Ryan Ingrassia from the US Consulate visited 5/6M this week. It was an interesting cultural exchange with students asking lots of questions. Ryan was very impressed with the class and its level of maturity.
