PRAYER TO ST. PIUS X Glorious Pope of the Eucharist, Saint Pius X, you sought "to restore all things in Christ.” Obtain for me a true love of Jesus so that I may live only for Him. Help me to acquire a lively fervor and a sincere will to strive for sanctity of life, and that I may avail myself of the riches of the Holy Eucharist in sacrifice and sacrament. By your love for Mary, mother and queen of all, inflame my heart with tender devotion to her. Blessed model of the priesthood, obtain for us holy, dedicated priests, and increase vocations to the religious life. Dispel confusion and hatred and anxiety, and incline our hearts to peace and concord so that all nations will place themselves under the sweet reign of Christ. Amen. Saint Pius X, pray for us.

MANDATORY LITURGICAL TRAINING Dear St. Pius X Community,
The Family Center is almost prepared for carpet as I write this. I cannot thank those that have helped us enough. Moving to carpet squares enables us to keep it new with any luck for decades. We have spent thousands on cleaning and because of the grade of carpet we were given a er the flood, they just couldn’t be cleaned and I have used one of the best cleaners in town. I have used this company successfully many mes and they recommended new carpet. We didn’t have funds to do a full job, but with Debbie’s leadership and great volunteers combined with the sale on Bobcat rentals, we were able to do most of the work ourselves. Now we know why the removal is so very expensive.
In a few weeks we will be changing communion around. We will be adding a second cup to each host distributer. That should clear up the traffic jam that we have been having. I see many people skipping the cup because of the line. We have the cup, because the hosts are kept and the host you receive may not be one of the ones that you were present for its consecra on. The precious blood is always from that Mass, so part of you is present there. With that change, to keep us in communion and keep noise down and to be all par cipa ng together, we are going to ask everyone to remain standing when they return to the pew. Standing is a communal stance. Then as soon as the presider returns to the chair, he will do the prayer a er communion and we will sit for a moment of quiet prayer. This avoids the quick up/down that we have now when we get up for the announcements. We learned this at a conference and want to try it for a few months. As an added benefit, It will keep a quieter atmosphere as kneelers will not be crashing up at a me of quiet. We will have more on this before we start in April.
Have a great 2nd week of Lent! We are blessed to have this season. We are having Jaclyn Ruli for our mission, as you all requested to have her back a er the first one, so please get that in your calendar!
In Him, Fr. Pat
