Have you got your registration in? $100 buys you 18 holes of golf with a power cart and a catered dinner here at the parish. There will be lots of prizes, a 50/50 draw and a chance to win $10,000 on a Hole in One Contest! Registration forms with payment must be received in the office by August 15th. (The Hole in One sponsored by Saskatoon Funeral Home) Window Restoration Project Over the last couple of years you have heard people speak about a window restoration project. This project will be happening sometime in the near future and the amount funds that we can raise before the project begins will greatly impact how much money we need to borrow. You may recall last year we held a garage sale to begin raising money for this project. This year a golf tournament was suggested as a different way to raise funds and build community. Of course we can only accommodate so many golfers, but anyone, including golfers, can make a donation for the window project. These donations will go into the parish reserve fund and will be eligible for a tax receipt. If you would like to make a contribution to this project envelopes will be available in the pews and in the welcome area next weekend. Lastly, we still have a few spots open for golfers. Sign up and come out and enjoy the day and the evening with your fellow parishioners. We have had a great response from the business people in the parish as well as from many of our community businesses to help sponsor this tournament. It is promising to be a good event. The next bulletin will be printed for the August 16th weekend. Any announcements you wish to have included must be in by noon on August 12th.

Stewardship/Ministry ~ Many in our parish family may be
travelling, spending time at the lake or some other such activity usually reserved for July & August. If you are one of
those who may be away from the parish community, please keep us in your prayers. As families travel, it is such a
wonderful opportunity to “practice what we preach” in terms
of reading scripture every day, praying the rosary in the vehicle on the way to and from destinations or just spending
time in quiet contemplation with Christian reading materials. God Bless!
Rite of Christian Initiation (adults/youth) ~
There are often people who have questions about the process of becoming Catholic. As well, people who are
baptized but have never had the opportunity to celebrate Confirmation/Holy Communion are welcome to inquire at
any time about preparing for these Sacraments. Should
anyone be interested to learn more about the process of becoming Catholic, or receiving the initiation Sacraments
or maybe just initial questions, please contact Shirley at the parish.
Liturgy Facilitators Committee ~ Are you interested in
assisting with facilitating the Eucharistic Ministry? There is an opening for one or two people who love to serve in the
parish especially in the area of Extraordinary Communion ministers. This is volunteer position includes two meetings
at year with awesome support from all other ministers.
Please contact Shirley before the end of July if possible to indicate your interest. God Bless!
Congratulations! ~ – Did you recently become
engaged? Do you know someone who has recently become engaged? Please then suggest to them to con-
tact Shirley at the parish if they would like to get married here as there are required diocesan documents that must
be completed before that can be scheduled in at the
parish. Many couples book the church anytime eight to ten months before they intend to marry. There is also a
marriage preparation course offered a the parish in which couples could participate, but pre registration is
necessary.
Sacrament of Baptism ~ Those who are expecting a
new baby, those with new infants or young children to be baptised, please consider that the summer prepara-
tion dates are August 13 and 20th with the celebrations during the weekend masses on August 22 and 23, 2015.
The scheduled preparation sessions after that are
Thursday evenings November 12 and 19 with the celebrations during the masses the weekend of
November 21/22. Pre – registration is necessary. Contact person is Shirley at the parish.
Rest in Peace – Please keep in your prayers the family
and friends of Amy Whelan, Phyllis Thomas, Denise Schmitz, Gerard Zdunich who died this past week. May
the souls of all the departed rest in the eternal glory of God !
Food Collection ~ In August we will collect whole
grain pasta and rice for the Friendship Inn. Also, there is always a need for other non-perishable food.
Weekly Adoration ~ Please note that because of funer-
al prayers there will be no Weekly Adoration this Mon-day, August 3rd. It will resume the next Monday, August
10th.

to better understand salvation his-tory? Need extra motivation to read
your Bible? Join a Bible study for adults ages 18-35 at St. Philip Neri

“Walk of Memories” ~ On August 16, 2015 everyone is
invited to participate in the 10th annual Palliative Care Services “Walk of Memories” to remember loved ones
who have died. The walk also offers an opportunity to connect with others who have experienced the loss of a
loved one. There is no cost to participate. Please see
